I wonder what’s going on...we have no ads, no Facebook, no Twitter,no marketing, no TV? New marketing campaign 👌 Maybe waiting to rollout with a partner? Or maybe achieved “ultra rapid” or “superior” designation? Both good points! Doesn’t cost any money to advertise on Twitter there was nothing wrong with those ads.

The current silence does kind of feel like last time there was silence prior to the UTHR announcement. Am wondering if there might be a little MNKD pps boost coinciding with the UTHR conference call IF they optimistically discuss the new partnership.

I’m not sure what MannKind is waiting for with putting up ads online... My guess is MannKind is trying a variety of mediums in small number to gage cost-reward (increased scripts) and it hasn’t been cost effective. The only thing left to do is wait until MannKind has a more effective message or a larger market. There’s not a whole lot left besides pre-diabetes and pediatric markets... Is any news imminent? Unknown. I keep waiting for a marketing blitz (optimism from investor calls) but nothing changes. Investors like to cheer scripts but the reality is Afrezza sales are pathetic. We have almost nothing of a 4B market... MannKind says they’re “all in” on Afrezza but their marketing tells a different story.

I've written a few "Mannkind is asleep at the wheel" posts myself (not on PRO-boards) but it's been years thankfully. Your post intrigues me seanismorris. Were you in a grumpy mood and expressing yourself after a libation or two which helped you feel less inhibited? Or, do you have a marketing degree and experience in pharma marketing or other education and experience that helps you to have such a definite opinion? I don't have any of that but have expressed dissatisfaction too and not long ago criticized the TV commercials for not being succinct enough and punching home the value of faster onset of effective action. But, I didn't have to work with an agency to develop an ad and then have it reviewed by the FDA before I could air it. So, I'm frankly not in a good position to be too critical. It's been posted many times that wouldn't it be great if Mannkind ran a Super Bowl ad? And it would be great, if it didn't cost so darn much. Recently, Mannkind won an award for creativity for one of (their only?) TV commercial. I don't know if the award giver was anybody I should care about. Regardless, given how tight cash has been and probably still is, I am content with how Dr. Castagna is piloting the ship. And he's recently given us good reasons to be hopeful if not fully enthusiastic. He hired Dr. Kendall which appears to be a stroke of both genius and good luck. (My dad always said luck is the residue of design.). Scripts are up and appear to be accelerating with refills increasing as well. He inked an important deal with United Therapeutics which net $55M in cash. And we should be confident there are other opportunities being investigated as well as previous marketing deals in Brazil and India which should eventually bear fruit. We're a very long ways from where we were in January of 2017, and that was just last year. So, we're still in the woods perhaps, but I think the space between the trees is starting to let in some light and my spirits at least are buoyed.

In the article it says "5 Low-Priced Biotech Stocks to Buy Today" ---- and lists Mannkind first!

It’s easy enough to find companies to help you advertise across the web if MannKind don’t have the experience in-house. It takes about 30 seconds using Google to get some ballpark costs. Advertising isn’t rocket science.
Anyone seen Afrezza advertising on medical journals? Facebook? Instagram? Snapchat? Twitter? LinkedIn? Etc.
If potential customers don’t know Afrezza exists, they’re not going to ask their doctor about it...
Let’s say MannKind does an online marketing blitz. What’s it going to cost? 50k/month?
Here’s TV: ”Cost of TV Advertising. For local television stations, advertisers can expect to pay anywhere from $200 to $1500 for a 30-second commercial. A 30-second spot broadcast nationally averaged around $123,000 as of 2016. The highest cost placements for Super Bowl Ads can go for upwards of $4 million”
Am I bitter? Yes. I’ve yet to see one ad.
MannKind keeps talking about marketing...
Go to Google and do a search for “meal time insulin”. You’ll see: Humalog, Novo Nordisk, Aprida, diatribe.org (NovoLog approval), etc.
Afrezza isn’t on the 1st page, nor the 2nd (in the descriptions). MannKind hasn’t done the most basic steps to get noticed. To find Afrezza you need to search for Afrezza. That’s pathetic effort on MannKind’s part...

Mannkind used to have on-line advertising and show up in searches. It may have fallen by the wayside. I don't see a lot of drug advertising on-line (but I tend to ignore every ad on-line). There does seem to be a lot of drug advertising on Hallmark and GSN where Mannkind has been advertising too.
I wouldn't compare advertising to rocket science, but I do know there is a lot of science that goes into advertising and marketing. In fact so much so it's creepy and part of the reason why the European's at least recently developed stronger laws on privacy.

I saw the Afrezza commercial again on the Central Coast of California on BBC America at approximately 10:30 pm. I’m just seeing it too often now. Getting boring. LOL! All kidding aside, it is amazing to see the Afrezza commercial so frequently now. Never thought I would see the day. It’s very encouraging to this old tired Mnkd long.
