Mannkind has one of the amazing drug ever developed and bunch of clown's running this company, prior and current included, have no idea how to get it to market. All the management can say was"Embarrassment of riches" and"Vein of gold". We don't need a cheerleader but actual player to win the game. What a freaking Joke!

"articles" are intended for easily influenced retail holders, to put it nicely.
After Deerfield is paid off the financing options and other opportunities will open up. This is not the end of financing options, this is a new beginning.

I have an odd (to me) question, could Deerfield debt and their lienholder status be protecting us from a (potentially) less benevolent debt holder?

I have not read Seeking Alpha in several month's. Interesting that they continue to follow such a "dead" company. They know they have a captive audience to add fuel to their flames while enhancing their pay by click "news" articles.
It's all noise in my opinion. My fascination continues on the nearly 24/7 discussion of this "death spiral" of a company which is up nearly six percent today at this exact moment.
No one knows how this MNKD story will play out. This company is being watched closely for a reason. Stay tuned as a former CEO once said.

You're right about Seeking Alpha, their end goal is clicks and articles about MannKind is a good way to get that. However, we're now up only 3.5% on the day after bleeding out 50% in the past 2 months, this is nothing to boast about.

Unless you think he faked years of pro-MNKD posts on this forum as part of a long con. He tore me a strip for being less than 100% positive about MNKD on more than one occasion.

Steven Binder, CFO, from Q1 cc:
"And lastly, we paid Deerfield $2.5 million yesterday, as our tranche B notes were maturing. We have $9 million of Deerfield debt remaining outstanding, which matures at the beginning of the third quarter. The security interest granted by MannKind to Deerfield in substantially all of our assets will terminate upon repayment of the debt."

Understood about being down. I am too. I am trying to not react to this stock second by second while trying to keep a long-term view. Having been here since FDA, I know first hand how difficult this journey has been. I don't need a reminder on our past, I can log into to my account and see a sea of red anytime. If the Alpha writer was/is a supporter, forgive me, like I said I don't read this stuff.

That’s exactly how I feel about “John”...we have no idea who these people really are...Who says that’s not just Spencer writing under another alias? Seems odd to me that someone who was long for such a long time, now instead of moving on and trying to gain some of his losses back in another stock..he has chosen to stick around and advise others to stay away by writing articles for SA?? Doesn’t add up

I can see how someone can buy more shares here. Either you have faith, or you don't. If you have faith, and you want some/more shares, this is a good low price. If you don't have faith, why wait around? Sell and or move on. You'll feel better after you rip the band-aid off and put your next investment in something with less risk. And, if you're a loser (on your investment) you can get tax benefit. I'm definitely a loser (if I sell now), but I still have faith. The amazing physics of Afrezza inhalable human insulin are a very stubborn thing, as am I. This may not be what you think, but the way I read your post is that someone who has faith in the science behind Afrezza should hold tight. As an investor, the flaw I see is that faith in Afrezza is different from faith in the Mannkind corporation. Afrezza may win out in the end, but perhaps only after Mannkind fails, current shareholders get screwed, and someone with better / deeper pockets and a better distribution network takes ownership of Afrezza. Full disclosure, I purchased more shares a week or so back around $1.25, after previously selling my previous holdings around $1.80 some months back. Yes, I'm feeling like an idiot. Completely agree a great product does not equal a great company and that all the most negative concerns are possible. MC doesn't strike me as a smokin hopium kind of guy, so I'm less concerned than others. The part about a better funded company with better distribution taking ownership of Afrezza may be the reason behind "the earmarks of a concerted effort to deny MNKD operating capital including predatory naked shorting and commercial and social media bashing".

Both sides should have targets.
If short target is zero, it's as silly as long target of $100.
Not sticking to the target is a mistake.
Long target for me has been generally to get back to approval valuation of about 4B.
What is the consensus for the short target?
