I'll post it from another computer. The sideways work, what I mean by that is price is working it's way to the first downtrend line.

I couldn’t restrain myself any longer. I share the sneaking suspicion we’re nearing a break out so I added to the volume today, (but not enough to make the price inch up  ). How nice would it be to have the problem of wanting to add but only slowly so as to avoid unnecessary cost basis? Not a worry with my paltry hoarding but a little more averaging down and a little more to the stock pile. C’mon baby! Snake eyes! (Instead of snake bit.) |

What? Adding slowly actually adds to your cost basis due to commission costs. If I add 1,000 shares or 100,000 shares ... my commission is the same. So, I'm not sure if I understand you.  |

True, the commission is the same but if you add many blocks of 100,000 over a short period of time or save on commission by buying 1,000,000 shares, it creates a noticeable signal I’ll call it. If your intention was to create a position with a few million shares but maybe less than 5% ownership, you might choose to add slowly so as to not drive up the price. For instance, if we say 10,000,000 shares is about 5% ownership, it is very unlikely you can place an order for that quantity of shares and get it at the current ask price using a limit order. You could make it a market order and you probably will get the shares, but again, not at the current ask price. If you’re acquiring millions of shares, the commission isn’t your concern anymore, it’s the pps. So my real point was I think being being able to add millions of shares would be nice because it would mean you were very rich to begin with (or a fund manager - but I was thinking rich). |

Watching price and volume here, I want to mention two pieces of news that may affect MNKD? It is difficult to believe drug manufacture rebates to the pharmacy business manager will be eliminated. First up would be blood thinner Xarelto, with commercials by late March ending with the drug's price plus typical out-of-pocket costs - $450-$540 per month without insurance. |
