Why can't MNKD update the shareholders? It's like they are dead in the water with no radio. Zero communication since 6/27. VERY frustrating watching my investment vaporize...

Oh, and by the way, I'm sooooo happy for all the executives that recently sold. Good job looking out for yourselves and leaving YOUR shareholders holding a bag of HOT AIR!

I'm frustrated with the lack of communication too. If pfeffer is able to give an underwhelming response to some loser hedge fund, why can't they talk to their shareholders? It's very frustrating.

Well, looks like the shorts are achieving their objectives when it comes to you two guys. Posts like these probably make their day.

As a shareholder in a company are you supposed to sit there with beer goggles smiling at everything? I'm not dumping my shares. I'm expressing frustration with lack of communication. Question for you... Do you get mad at your favorite sports teams when they do something that you disagree with? You don't change teams you root for, but you express your frustration, no?

This price vol really does not matter if you a long-term investor in Mannkind (unless you just got a margin call). Three to five years down the road we will all be much happier!

I've already been in mnkd 3-5 years. I understand all the keep looking forward talk. Management's communication has been less than ideal. You have to be able to see that, if not then see how someone else could have a perspective on that.

Everything Karp said was nonsense. We got a tidbit from Pfeffer (below) and all very positive. He mentiones a possible launch this year, thats new. I know this hurts, but if you have been around this long I doubt you were selling after a partnership announcement. The real money will be made in 2015 / 2016 if they can show BIG growth in sales Q over Q.
Pfeffer was also optimistic on MannKind finding a partner to market Afrezza, a deal he hoped would be in place to launch the product late this year or early next. "We have every reason to think we will have a partner," he said.
"There's a lot of upside potential still here," Pfeffer said. "It wouldn't take much of this market to be very, very large in sales," he added.

Yep, I gotta agree. I'm as long and strong as anyone on the board. But I have to admit, the company seriously sucks at PR. There are ways to communicate strength and confidence without saying anything that might endanger a pending deal. To stand back and continually let their shareholders bend over for the HF and MM is an ill advised management decision. I've been loading up for 4 plus years, 53,000 shares through disappointment after disappointment. And even with that I have no plans to sell, not even one share. But at this point, I'm beginning to question whether the company has the right team at the helm, and I'm not talking about Dr. Mann. Please guys, find a way to instill some faith and confidence so that we can remain LONG AND STRONG!

I understand that the crap from Karp yesterday is total nonsense, BUT it's the lack of communication that allows something like a ridiculous article from a nobody like Karp to put a 10% + beating on the stock. If management had been up front with a response to the approval, label, and an updated timeframe for negotiations to be completed then the crap from karp wouldn't be the main talk of the headline driven market when it comes to mnkd. They've allowed the volatility to come roaring back in by not really talking to us. I'm sorry I don't carry pompoms with me 24/7. I have thousands and thousands of shares and I care about my money. I believe we will win long term, but why let these losers like karp even have the ability to have such ridiculous nonsense rip the value of your company out from you even if only temporarily. I don't understand it.

I honestly think if they came out a couple of days after approval and re-affirmed the 6 to 8 week time frame, plus they are happy with the label, and this type of article hits one month later we would be in the same place.
I Remember when Pfeffer stated he though negotiations with possible partners would take at least 6 to 8 weeks he took a lot of heat and the stock dropped. In hindsight I'm glad he said that otherwise impatient longs would be all over the company now, and shorts could use that to their advantage.

In regards to shorts taking advantage... Aren't they doing that already?

Mrhaigs,
The problem with what you suggest is you are wanting the company to come out and give some definitive news about when they are going to have a partnership deal done. That is something you don't do unless you want to severely compromise your negotiating position when it comes down to final terms with a partner. Granted, this successful price pressure is going to have some of the same effect, and now with the price move maybe there would be some benefit to reiterating what they have constantly said. But... saying anything beyond that they are working to conclude a deal as quickly as possible and expect a launch Q4-Q1 would be compromising their position. Their cash position is what it is. That puts a constraint on how long they can outlast a negotiation. Coming out and stating that isn't going to provide any clarity. In any case they will have a conference call for earnings. I just don't see any real unknown information being given until the next milestone is achieved... a partnership.
