Thinking selling off Afrezza for even one dollar would help MNKD greatly. No more multi-million drains on company. (Ad cost gone, sales team cost gone, etc) Being a molecule development company is enough for me.

500 million is laughable. Why I'd take one dollar because: MNKD could have a 10-year cash runway. Stock could jump on news that Afrezza is no longer draining the company coffers dry. MNKD has evolved beyond being a one-trick Afrezza pony.

Yeah from a guy who stood up at a shareholder meeting and wanted 51% control of the whole company. So even if true not a good deal.

I'm not John K. Been here since 2011, but didn't post until today. The Afrezza sale (which formerly I would not have approved) has become a no-brainer. Cut the money-draining part, and go back to being a true R&D company. MNKD only became a Rx seller because of necessity --- but it's not necessary any longer.

I would personally rather suffer a while longer for a more positive result than sell out now for a short term gain that will no where come close to making me whole on my original investment. Just my personal opinion...

I would like to see Mannkind be successful selling Afrezza, and I am hopeful that success will come with the current ad campaign. That said, if sales don't pick up in the short term, it's time to put Afrezza in someone else's hands. I would not advocate for giving it away. A deal that involved royalties would be nice in the event it does turn into the blockbuster drug we all expect it to.

Imagine Calmness: Afrezza gone. Weekly script numbers gone. Cash drain gone. The need for new sales manager (every six-months) gone. Missing revenue estimates gone. Bankruptcy rumors gone. My high stress level gone. Afrezza in summary is one disappointment after another (CRLs, AF bashing, Sanofi debacle, Big Phrama pressures, Insurance issues, etc., etc. etc) Enough!!!

Think you are confusing Afrezza with mannkind sales efforts. Afrezza is even better than expected which is hardly a disappointment in my view. The sales efforts could be more strategic, such as where is the updated web site and the digital campaign to compliment the tv ads. Big miss imho.

Yes, imagine calmness. Do that... you can also pull out of this company and not pay any more attention to this stock, MannKind or Afrezza. But then again, learning that this company may one day eventually overcome all obstacles and become successful despite its current situation will probably continue to skyrocket your stress level. Just like you venting your frustrations about how disappointing this current situation is, I'm venting about how negativity like yours continue to stick around knowing whats going on. So what's really the point? Carry on.

to kite: I'm not negative with this thread. MNKD technology is great. The 800 pound elephant in the room is not so great.

Thanks Kite and now for another version of “Imagine Calmness...”. Think of lying in bed until you want to get up, then making a leisurely breakfast all the while with an ocean view and the sounds of the waves soothing you as you begin your weekday from your beach house... my vision from holding Mnkd five years from now..:
