Ok, here my reasons for investing (years ago) in MNKD:
Reason 1. Al Mann -- the visionary, leader and the great man himself. Result -- Al passed away, which was a bad turn. But, Al was aging at the end and put unwarranted trust into Matt P. (big mistake). Also, at his end Al Mann started EYES to cure blindness. Too much on his plate and that hurt us at MNKD.
Reason 2. Technosphere -- makes a multitude of drugs inhaleble. Result -- Uptake to this platform has been slooooooow. Resistance by doctors to better drug delivery system has been great.
Reason 3. Afrezza -- the wonder diabetes drug that requires No Needles Result -- MNKD has never promoted NO NEEDLES. And that's where they Lost The Game. All the rest of their promotions like fast-in, fast-out are blah, blah, blah to consumers. Make the T.V. adds simple: Show a restaurant scene -- at one table a man runs into restroom and injects himself (yes show some blood). At table two: A women takes an Afrezza puff, smiles and continues with her table conversation. The words "No Needles" flash as the commercial ends.
Reason 4. That billion dollar stockpile of Insulin that MNKD bought for pennies on the dollar. Result -- absolutely nothing to my knowledge.
Report Card:
Reason 1 -- F, Failure Reason 2 -- C, somewhat success Reason 3 -- D, barely any progress Reason 4 -- F, Failure
Summary: Based on above reasons my investment is a D-minus or on life support

It sounds like it is time for you to sell and move on. Your post is so negatively one sided and completely ignores progress in so many other areas.

Here's why I invested in MNKD, because it can change a PWD's quality of life and give them hope to easily manage a terrible disease...

Its only mealtime insulin, so users still have to inject their basal. no? maybe, "Less needles"?

For T2s, there's some evidence that mealtime therapy is the place to start and not basal. There is at least one member of this board that only takes Afrezza at mealtime. If you listen to MC in his recent interview, he talks about the SOC being updated to make TI the first stop for insulin dependent T2s. When that happens is anyone's guess, but the indications are there that it's what's coming.

Mango FYI if you search instagram for #Afrezza you will notice the search count has been slowly dropping. It was at 1,517 at one point. It is now down to 1,491 dropping about 5 or so a day. So either people are removing their posts at a dramatic rate and disabling their accounts or a CONSPIRACY is afoot.

As someone who is not into needles, I got into this investment when I saw no needles were required for Afrezza. If it is no or less needles, it was enough for me to jump in, recognizing this has the potential to be a game changer.

On Twitter my account gets manipulated a lot, for instance I was getting a like deleted from Harry's pinned tweet for months, coincidentally, it pertains to Afrezza.

Investing is to some a way to make money for things in the future. Some take that money and put it in a bank and some put it into their own ideas e.g.business ventures ect. Some that have been sucessful are ones that focus on unmet needs and start with 10x the cash they need for a venture. After that..the focus is on the science..dialing in every aspect that sets your product apart..Al was perhaps a savant in this area..his history..in part tells when major med device companies couldn't make a pump that worked..even Pfizer..but Al did..he sold that one for $4billion..now it makes over a $1billion a year..he plowed his take..into Mannkind..and other ventures..creating Second Sight..restored sight to the blind..and much earlier hearing to the deaf..mobililty to the unmobile..pain relief..cancer vacines..foundations..that focused on ideas that were vetted to bring to market..and with his extensive background in particle physics..saw something never done before in the 90 year history of insulin..the ability to stabilize active singular monomeric insulin..all other pharmas had at best was inactive hexomeric insulins that were injected or inhaled..and thus acted to slow regardless of how they got in the body..they had to break down into monomers..taking hours..in..and several hours getting out causing high hypo risk..progression to blindness..heart..amputations..but this molecule he had was active human monomeric insulin..just like mothernatures own..self assembled onto a known inert nano particle..the healthy individual has an pkp spike..and so did this insulin..healthy individual done in 1.5 hours..so did this insulin..as delivered via the lung..it also showed as safe..and more effective..superior glycemic controls and out so fast..when studies alone in a zero carb study where the type 2 patient ate..nothing zero hypos in all cases...why..this will change diabetes! He then put $1billion out of his own pocket into development..said he wouldn't sell Mannkind for what today would be $500 a share..he didn't sell his stock..not even for taxes..he died a few years ago..why did he invest? Maybe he did it for humanity and which is why the company name is Mannkind...as an investor..my wife thinks I am an idiot..so..watch out if I win the lottery..because if investing in Mannkind is stupid..then I guess..I am very stupid..Al had an IQ of 176...he lived to help people live a fuller better life..he was morale..a straight shooter..and in the end he didnt give away all that cash..he put it to work for that child..to hear his mom for the first time..the cancer victim to live longer..the blind to see..the diabetic to not feel diabetic so much..$4 a day insulin for the needy..Why did I invest..I guess I beleive Al inspired me..and should inspire everyone..to work to make this world a better place..and Mike..you're doing a great job!

That billion dollar stockpile of Insulin that MNKD bought for pennies on the dollar. Result -- absolutely nothing to my knowledge. Report Card: Reason 1 -- F, Failure Reason 2 -- C, somewhat success Reason 3 -- D, barely any progress Reason 4 -- F, Failure Summary: Based on above reasons my investment is a D-minus or on life support 1) Al was a great man that passed away,,, F ?? I got some bad news for you,, none of us are getting out of here alive. 1) Al put unwarranted trust in Matt,,,F ?? Matt did get us out of the deal with the devil as soon as it could be done, plus a settlement from said devil. Personally I’m not a huge MP fan, but disagree with your opinion. 1) At his end, Al started eyes, too much on plate ?? Al started EYES way before you obviously know. The IPO maybe towards the end,but this had nothing to do with Mannkind or Afrezza. It was a vision and goal of AL to help the Blind see, the deaf hear. You are one selfish person if this bothers you. 2) Technosphere,,, C Technosphere is an FDA Approved Drug Delivery Platform that will allow unstable monomer proteins and peptides to be delivered via inhalation rather than injected, a paradigm shift in the way many drugs may be delivered. These things do take time, but it’s approved and moving forward. I’d give it a B+ to A- if I was grading, but I’m not.,,,,, way too early for that imo. 3) Afrezza FDA Approved, But mnkd says nothing about “no needles” “and that’s where they lost the game” ?? Score D is the game over ?? Did we lose ?? Im betting every person with Diabetes that uses Afrezza would completely disagree, as I do. The Time profile of Afrezza is 10,000 times more significant than the fact that it is Inhaled,,,,”no needles” 4) Billion dollar stockpile of insulin that Al purchased for pennies on the dollar. Al was preparing for success, CRL #2 was a little unexpected, and obviously very unnecessary. You can’t sell product if you don’t have any,,, right. I will try to say this as politely as I can.,,,, You need to re-evaluate your position !! I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed with anyone anymore than I disagree with you !! But hey, opinions are like ________, we all have one, and most stink, right ? Good Luck to you ✌🏻😎
