How bad of a reaction might there be if the call comes and all the company can say is "we're working on a closing a partnership for marketing and sales, and have every reason to believe it will conclude in time to enter the market by early 2015" or something similar that wouldn't be making concrete assertions that could lead to lawsuits. I'm sure shorts would be jumping all over that as indication that they will not get a partner.
Fingers crossed we get the partnership announcement in time to discuss that on the call... though I doubt Al would allow the quarterly call to become an artificial pressure to close a deal if he isn't yet happy with it.
