I don't understand how technosphere can help that much for a once a day medication. Speed of action wouldn't seem to matter that much.

Speed to action is 30 minutes for Cialis. It should be taken 2 hours before. Can you imagine something that happens in 3 to 5 minutes? The once daily Cialis has a bunch of side effects. Inhale and it's on. Cialis and Viagra are about to go to generics. Time for an upgrade. BOINGGGG!!

peppy, That chart does not say anything about speed of action. I am not questioning whether or not Tadalafil is a good medication. I am just asking why speed matters.
As an example, I take a once a day blood pressure pill. It stays in the body for days, so when you take it once a day it means there is an almost constant amount in my blood all the time. If there was a technosphere version of the pill it would not make any difference at all.
Speed is important with something like an emergency asthma inhaler. Are there any once-a-day medications where speed is important?
Or is taking Tadalafil once a day suboptimal but it is currently not feasible to take smaller doses several times a day. Maybe with technosphere it would be feasible to take several smaller doses per day.

Now I am confused. Adcirca is for PAH and is a once a day medication. I can understand why speed of action would be important for Cialis. Are they really the same drug? Wouldn't taking it for PAH have an unpleasant (or possibly pleasant) side effect for male patients?

Wouldn't taking it for PAH have an unpleasant (or possibly pleasant) side effect for male patients? Tadalafil, sold under the brand name Cialis among others, is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and pulmonary arterial hypertension. For ED it is recommended as an 'as needed' medication. Trade names: Cialis, Adcirca, Tadacip, others Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadalafil
