Hoping MC explains this in detail at the H.C. Wainwright conference. Would obviously like to hear a solid purpose and positive announcement that goes along with this. A UTHR buy-in wouldn't hurt I know. Early dreaming.

Not more stock, just permission from the SEC to trade those shares if and only if the shareholders authorize more stock to be issued, and that requires an affirmative shareholder vote. Remember that corporations are created as a matter of state law, and the laws of the state (in this case Delaware) determine when and if a company can sell more stock. The SEC is a federal agency that regulates the securities exchanges and trading, but they do not and cannot regulate corporation law. Shelf registrations go stale after three years and have to be renewed. That is what this filing is, and practically every publicly traded company in the US has an effective shelf registration because it allows the company to more quickly and easily if there is a need to raise capital, but it does not authorize raising a single penny of new stock. If the company issues a proxy for a special meeting to increase the number of shares outstanding, they you can worry about more stock, but until then authorized shares remain at 280 million with most of them locked up for potential warrant exercise and conversion of debt instruments.

The link goes to an S-3 "Notice of Effectiveness". From the web: What is an SEC "notice of effectiveness"?
The notice of effectiveness is a public declaration by the Securities and Exchange Commission that a public company's registration statement has been accepted. For shares in a public company to trade on the open market they must be registered by the company. These registration statements are reviewed by the Commission for a period of time before approval is given, and this notice marks the successful completion of this review process.I think it just indicates that the SEC accepted the S-3 filed by MNKD a month or so ago.

Hmm.
So they notified us on Monday as to the SEC accepting the registration statement for new shares.
Now it is Friday afternoon and the SP is tanking on what is a big overall up market kind of day.
Probably a coincidence. Let's hope.

Jinx it? You don't think the sinking share price is due to insiders tipping off their buddies of what's coming? There might be shenanigans going on, but I don't see any (especially high-level) insiders tipping off their buddies having much if anything to do with it. That's just (obviously) my opinion, and may be worth very little.

It’s Osborne and the cronies he’s connected with. He’s now saying MNKD should raise cash this quarter. He and his cronies want this company dead

It’s Osborne and the cronies he’s connected with. He’s now saying MNKD should raise cash this quarter. He and his cronies want this company dead It's up to Mike and his team to prove SO wrong. So far, they haven't come close to doing that. SO has nothing to do with the failed ad campaign, lack of transparency on partnerships and DTC, asking for raises with the PPS cratering, and misleading tweets blaming poor script counts on Symphony misreporting.

It’s Osborne and the cronies he’s connected with. He’s now saying MNKD should raise cash this quarter. He and his cronies want this company dead SO can want this company dead "all he wants". Come hell or high water Mike C is in it to win it. He's got to be flexible and change a long the way. Plan A - NFG, Plan B - next. Plan B has yet be unveiled, but Mike is not going to let this fail. What SO writes is noise more than anything else. He's only right about his thesis because it doesn't take a genius to write about small cap companies with debt. Nearly all have to dilute...geeez. I predict a dilution and here's why...they are running out of cash...LOL! Guys like him are a dime a dozen on SA. Anyone with business sense and can write decent stories...and time can do what he does. Just need the time and the funding.

You’re both wrong. This guy’s deeply connected. You believe he’s not invested in MNKD and just writes these articles for $60 like he said on this board before he deleted all of his posts? If so there are many that would like to sell you some swamp land. His articles are always timely at times when he knows they can manipulate the share price. You think he knows all about MNKD competitors and competing drugs without the help of experts in the field helping him to write the articles? No one else writes near as much as this guy on MNKD. The share price consistently goes with his articles. No doubt he has deep connections controlling the share price
He wants his agenda only. Notice comments on SA contrary to his articles are deleted

Instead, all these missteps just gives him more fodder to write on. There's no point blaming a random writer on a stock blog site for MannKind's underlying issues.

A laughing stock, the CEO is making himself and the company a laughing stock! In caps I might add...one of Spencer‘s comments.
That seems a little biased to me. Who covers a stock like that?
