United Therapeutics Announces BEAT Study of Esuberaprost Does Not Meet Primary Endpoint
Stock down $4 this morning.
SILVER SPRING, Md. and RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., April 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- United Therapeutics Corporation (UTHR) today announced that the BEAT clinical study of esuberaprost tablets in patients suffering from pulmonary arterial hypertension did not meet its primary endpoint of delayed time to first clinical worsening event. Accordingly, United Therapeutics has decided to discontinue further esuberaprost development.

Have you noticed the big swings in price the last few days?
I was thinking of buying when it went below 100 but didn’t. I’ll wait to decide after earnings.
Did anyone here buy shares since the failed drug trial announcement and the new 52 week low?

Does anyone here think that there is a connection between the drop in price for both MNKD and UTHR?
Both have had pretty big declines the last few days after earnings.
Also, I’m surprised that Phase III trials are taking so long to begin with TreT.

UNH is testing the neckline. The measured move on UNH is 60 dollars @ the $200 week.

Does anyone here think that there is a connection between the drop in price for both MNKD and UTHR? I can't speak for everyone or anyone else, but I would say there is no connection (other than overall market weakness hurting both). Also, UTHR recently reported a year over year decline in earnings (by about 5%). |

I think when MNKD and UTHR both go up at the same time - THAT will have significant connection !!!

UTHR is getting slammed every day. Now at a 5 year low.
Seems like an opportune time to announce the 2nd unannounced molecule with MNKD.
Peppy, how low do you think it will go before finding support?

52-Wk Range
84.09 - 130.00
I picked up another 100 shares today.

Wow, you could have had another 7,000 shares of MNKD. But, that's mytakeonit I'm already so very Heavy in Mnkd, and picked up shares at 1.22 recently, and if we get deep into the $1.1x i'll probably pickup more then I should =). Sold a little bit of of my TNDM when it spiked up to close to $70 again. Just spreading it around a little bit, Also grabbed some NVDA and Increased my AMD holdings. I hate to see UTHR this low, so had to support them more. |

Ahhh ... I think support starts at a little more than 100 shares. Ha! The only thing about buying UTHR at $84 is ... do you think it'll double anytime soon. Now unless you think that MNKD is going bankrupt ... how soon do you think before MNKD doubles from $1.22 ? I'm figuring before year end for sure.  Well, maybe by January ... for Thomas ... who always doubts me. But, that's mytakeonit |
