I went back through his tweets for about the past 3 months. I found one tweet thanking mannkind for its sponsorship, but not one nice word about afrezza. Can Mannkind lean on him to speak out at least a little about the product directly or would that break some FDA rule??

I imagine a story will run at some point after he can demonstrate an improvement in A1C and TIR on Afrezza. He needs another month for A1C (officially). mnkd.proboards.com/post/179566

I agree. It's afrezza's name that needs public exposure. if only there was room for the black box warning....... You know this already travis.

It seems that there are also other plans as he stated for things throughout the year. He has also used tags more on his instagram than twitter & most likely due to the trolls on twitter.

I have no doubt he will experience an improvement worth mentioning. But, that's just mytakeonit

But, that's just mytakeonit I think you will find if he wants to discuss Afrezza he is going to have to tread very carefully and not go off label. The FDA will be all over him if he strays. Kim Kardashian gave a wonderful demo in that area. All he needs to do is say that he uses it and he likes it. He doesn't need to go further, it's about breeding familiarity so people feel comfortable.

Aged is absolutely right. If Conor wasn't getting paid by MannKind he could go off label. What we need is a celebrity who isn't getting a dime but still praising Afrezza to the skies without all the FDA restrictions.

Dame Dash did it too, but he was also sponsored by MannKind and an Afrezza User. Laura does it all the time too and she's a babe taboot, yeah? We also ran a commercial. Looks like our problem isn't advertising/promotion—maybe it's the SoC and health insurance coverage?

I never suggested/implied that Conner should/will falsely and/or misleadingly promote Afrezza in a Kim Kardashion fashion like with Diclegis. The dude is an Afrezza User and more than likely measures his A1c regularly, and has a CGM. If he wanted to publicly share his medical results then he would have every right to do so. I don't know why you interpreted what I wrote the way you did.

Have any of these people been paid by MannKind and then gone beyond what the FDA allows MannKind to say? The MannKind commercial certainly didn't and that's one reason it was so ineffective. I don't think Munro and Laura were ever paid by MannKind. As for Dash, I don't believe he ever violated the FDA rules on the show that MannKind partly sponsored.

I'd say without a doubt Damon Dash did. But, he was also an Afrezza User and spoke his truth. None of these people spread false/misleading information though, if that is what you're asking (or wanting).

If they are being paid they have to stay within the FDA guidelines -- it doesn't matter if every word is true. Unfortunately, truth is not a defense when it comes to FDA regulations.

It is health insurance medication coverage. How much do we really think patient hypoglycemia affects their physician? This person takes rapid acting subq insulin. How are her hospitalizations and seizures affecting the physician? How are her hospitalizations affecting the insurance company?

That's why MNKD is now taking the consumer driven approach, and - I would think - targeting those who can afford it.
