This interview was posted by Sports in the Mnkd On Twitter section. Thanks Sports!!! It is worth the listen and thus I am posting here so that it does not get buried in the other thread and people will miss it. I have read from many posters that Dr. Kendall is missing in action. Well after listening to this interview, he has become one of us. The crazy people that think MannKind and Afrezza will change the world. Perhaps we should feel sorry for him now that he is a true believer. Because the journey isn’t an easy one. I love the quote where he says there are now thousands of people that are using Afrezza. Yep thousands. It is taking time, but soon I hope it will be tens of thousands. Enjoy. diabetesempowermentsummit.com/summit-day-4-gdbsorr9

Didn't hear him say a "thousand" anything.
Her questions:
1:14 - What made you get into diabetes?
3:38 - What makes a prominent spokesman within the diabetes space go from a big company to a start-up?
*Her story..* *Her story..* *Her story..* *Her story..*
38:00 - Thank you everyone for joining this interview!
What interview...
This woman asked him 2 questions in 38 minutes.
Unbelievable.

Dr. K does mention 1,000’s of patients use afrezza. Try listening again more closely.
(As an edit to this post, the reference by Dr. K to 1,000's using Afrezza is at 29:53.)

The interview I listened to was very informative and covered a lot of ground. Including Dr Kendall's transition from Lilly to Mannkind. I liked his analogy of doctors and financial planners. You wouldn't keep seeing a fiancial planner if you weren't getting the kind of service you want, so why should stay with a doctor that isn't listening and working with the treatment you want. He also covered the difference between Exhubra and Afrezza pretty succinctly and dispelled the issues about lungs vs. injections. I quess some of us were just more tuned into the webcast than others?

As for your point about her only asking two questions I find it very disingenuous. The point of any interview is to generate a dialouge and information on the subject of the interview. I think this was done quite well with many points about both insuln aspart and Afrezza beng made. Also she is a pwd who uses Afrezza and so her experiences are very relevant to the topic of the interview. She was able through her own comments whether questions or not to get Dr. K to speak about the subject matter.

I see no interview with Kendall at that page.

I don't know where you hold Dr. Kendall in regards to expertise, but supposedly he's one of the top experts on the topic of diabetes. My impression was that this woman had very little preparation done before starting her interview with Dr. Kendall. Maybe your a huge fan and have some autographed recordings, that's cool, but this was my first viewing of her work. I was expecting a professional well in-depth interview, but instead was shown her opinions more than her guests. I was disappointed. When you say, "why you are even here?", it reminds me of some whiney kid from the play ground expressing himself when things don't go his way. Just saying! *If you could just leave your post as is, and not delete my response, I would be eternally grateful.* Graham Benslinger (Interview example) www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtpZsVwAsmc

Totally disagree with Johny. It was a wonderful conversation/interview. Many positive things. The only thing I don't completely agree with is at 10:24 "Personal experience is in this case worth so much more than endless clinical research trials." I don't think a CMO should say this. I don't think he would have said this if he still worked for a large company that could afford to do clinical trials. Everything else is great. If you're feeling discouraged with mnkd it is worth listening to the whole thing.

here is what I heard. Kendall works with the payers. He conveys the stories. The story. Afrezza is the stories. The cgm I could find on the facebook afrezza. He wants diabetic patients to put pressure on the payers, the only way for change. The interviewer said: she has a year prescription and goes through approval every three months on the telephone. That is a tough nut to crack.

Truth is, I wanted to type out each question with a time attached, to help others find good questions and to help me listen. When she went on, and on, and on! I scrapped the whole idea. I hope your not suggesting that I listen to it again.. "If you're feeling discouraged with mnkd it is worth listening to the whole thing." I just can't, I hope you understand.

Answer is to Peppy...Yes and what Mannkind or somebody needs to do is market a greater user experience so that the patients will put pressure on the doctors.

My comment was not directed at you. I don't care if you listen to it again or don't. You seem to be bothered by the fact that she did a lot of the talking. Maybe it wasn't a traditional TV style interview. It was a conversation and both people shared their views and experiences. Google "gonzo journalism".

You addressed me by saying, "Johny", next time keep my name out of your response and I won't think your addressing me. Have you ever tried this in person? Saying someone's name and thinking you wouldn't be held accountable for what is said.. Yeah that's a life lesson waiting to happen, and trying to hide your face through your hand ain't gunna make it go away. Hey Uvula, I appreciate your time, have a nice day.
