Damn the shorts really really want this down today. 4,000,000 shares traded. I’m sure most of the selling is from the shorts. Man how I hate them.

Has MannKind’s IR Department examined the trading for illegal churning (two fund managers trading back and forth to each other to artificially cap the share price or drive it down)?
Has management even filed a complaint with the SEC?

Has management even filed a complaint with the SEC? I think there was some discussion a while back about the company reporting this to the SEC and that nothing happened....

Deferring their payment gives them more time to have free reign on the share price. Not to mention management isn’t exactly hitting it out of the park, MNKD is easy prey... On the last conference call, we walked away with ‘we need to analyze the data from the marketing campaign’. In other words, “we don’t want to tell you the bad news”. Well we’re nearing the next call, of course the shorts will load up... it’s easy money. Out of Mikes own mouth, the campaign is determining if MannKind is going to be a 50-100-500 million dollar company. We know $500 million is off the table...

Now down to $1.04 ... the shorts are pretty good in what they do. Yesterday they knockout a +5 cent gain back down to even at the end of day. I don't know about you ... but, I don't see MNKD going bankrupt. What I see is a chance to load up cheap shares. This is a long term stock ... and even I am tempted to start day trading again. But, volume is too low and I'm painting my fence. Ha! Brazil news is great ! More news to follow at CC. I love it !!! But, that's mytakeonit It won't be a traditional bankruptcy, but could be a bankruptcy by dilution and reverse splits. See $DRYS for an example.

Adam Fuerstein called it the capital funding “death spiral”. The massive shorting is highly annoying, but not highly unexpected. Only once or twice in the last 6 years have I dared to hope the shorts were finally going long. Nope. Everything comes back to fundamentals (which is why they’re the fundamentals). My opinion is there is no quick easy way to make Mannkind successful. It was encouraging seeing the volume today though. Make those shorts take more risk. Short squeeze is unlikely, but they happen nonetheless. Maybe Al can call in another favor for us longs. Hope springs eternal.

Actually, the short squeeze can easily happen. In fact, it'll happen in September or October. After my return from Las Vegas.
But, that's mytakeonit

We are seeing what happens when the MM's quit playing catch.

That $1.03 doesn't appear to be attracting buyers.

Nice breakout on decent volume, hopefully it can hold for the day. It's been a long while since we had a solidly green day.
