A pitch to VDex—
VetDex
At Ease Diabetes Care (the military folks will know what at ease means)
VetDex can utilize Telecare health, provide a proven, proprietary protocol that utilizes a diabetes treatment that was developed by the late Veteran and Diabetes pioneer, inventor and innovator, Alfred E. Mann.
I am attaching an article that talks about veterans using telehealth with demonstrable, reproducible positive results. Veteran Health Care reform will soon pass for extended access to care and will eventually mean more veterans with diabetes will begin to have their conditions managed by a clinic outside the VA and more telehealth usage will be seen as it is the most convenient while also being effective and affordable.
I read that apparently 25% of veterans in the USA has diabetes.
We know that a serious unmet medical need for veterans is easy access to care and easy access to effective help. Access, help, affordable, dependable, reliable care.
VetDex is a solution to many unmet needs and is a natural evolutionary vision of the late Veteran Al Mann as it emerged out from it’s parent and originator company, VDex.
VetDex
At Ease Diabetes Care for Veterans
Would love to help VDex do a trial run here in MS
What do ya’ll think?

Would need to target an area with high vet diabetes population with limited or poor medical access and options for the stand alone clinics. Could even partner with one drop for exclusive lifetime discounts when used with Afrezza

mnholdem do you have the information regarding the VA and Afrezza formulary? is afrezza covered by the VA? Does the VA have a tier system? if covered, what is the veterans cost?

Castagna likely let the contract expire but I’ll dig into it when I can. Very busy the last 3 weeks.
Tele-medicine is definitely something I think VDex would be well suited for.

I think such as program is better suited for OneDrop or Onduo. The benefit of VDex is their clinics. In your model this face to face would be provided by the VA. I would think a CRADA could be put together with the VA with little risk on the part of the VA to prove out the concept. The long-term question is what is the payment model for OneDrop with the VA.

This would be outside VA care via extended access that is currently trying to be passed by legislature but democrats have been stalling it and thus are preventing access to care and wasting valuable time that could be used helping veterans with diabetes. This model would work with VDex protocol, don’t need the VA for this other than accepting VA health insurance if needed/required.

My apologies to Castagna. The contracts don’t expire until June 2022.
