If the non opiod pain reliever ever materializes it will get fast tracked by the fda and will immediately affect the stock price. I have no idea if this drug actually exists or not.

The right early morning news release with the right information could transform our lives within minutes ending our national nightmare. It has happened with other companies in the past. Will it happen here, I don't know. As I have said before, it is hard to believe there is not one CEO and board that can see what we see in MNKD. If a deal does not happen, so be it, I will wait it out. When you are down, you can sell or like many of us simply wait and hope. I still believe an early morning surprise is always a possibility. In the meantime, we need more sales, plain and simple. Getting a new molecule partner will not move the stock as much as you think. MNKD needs to get CMS Approval. Once they get Medicare & Medicaid Approval it will open the flood gates for all insurance companies to cover Afrezza. Hopefully their new Gov't Affairs Dept. is working on it. The street is waiting patiently for approval which will bring in more revenues faster. Also after approval it will be interesting to see if Mike expands the salesforce or wait it out for PEDS Approval before getting a marketing partner. I'm on Medicare and it's not up to the CMS to "approve" Afrezza. It's up to the commercial insurance companies who offer supplemental drug coverage to Medicare recipients. My supplemental plan does offer Afrezza to Medicare recipients, with a Prior Authorization requirement.

Actually, CEO's love going to these events. They get a free trip, free hotel, free meals, link up with other CEO's, maybe get hired by a larger company, family often come along for free, etc, etc. Only the lowly accountant from Hawaii get's sent to Georgia ... and wonder why did they send me here? But, that's mytakeonit I never liked going to those events, but maybe that is just me. The trip is not free (the company pays flight, hotel, meals, etc.) and I think my wife accompanied me on business a total of three times in 36 years of marriage using my accumulated frequent flyer points (of which I had bucket loads). Time to schmooze with other CEO's is extremely limited since you are there to chat up investors, fund managers, and the bankers plus there are meetings to do outside the conference, especially in places like New York and San Francisco. The best part of the meeting is always the taxi ride back to La Guardia because that means you are done until next time, and there is always a next time. It is part of the job, just like anything else. The job is to create interest in the company so that investors will take a position or if they have a position they will increase or at least hold the stock. A lot of investors will only write a check after they have eyeballed the CEO in a one-on-one meeting to figure out if he is for real or just another empty suit that has no idea what he is doing. My impression is that Mike does a decent job of getting investors to hold, but not such a good job of getting them to increase their holdings. If a CEO has had a big impact speaking to a conference it is generally reflected in the stock price within minutes, and that price movement could be either up or down.

Definitely agree with you there. Mike Castagna had it in Bucket #4. We also still do not know what indication(s) Receptor Life Sciences will target for Cannabidiol Technosphere, and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol Technosphere. Those will most definitely positively affect the stock price, and getting one of the programs fast-tracked is definitely within the realm of possibility. We should be hearing more on RLS very soon.

In that case they are in for a treat given the ongoing traffic chaos at LGA. I think they should get at least an extra half hour of the best bit.

The taxi ride is nothing ... try flying for over 12 hours to get home. Especially with drunk CEO's making all that noise in 1st Class. And what I meant about it being a free trip ... even if YOUR company pays for it ... it will be written off. If your bottom line is negative ... send $20 to mytakeonit.com and I'll help you with creative accounting.
But, that's mytakeonit

He may be dreaming some company buys out MNKD at an insane premium. The concept doesn't violate any laws of physics, so theoretically possible, and I guess a good dream for those predisposed to dreaming. Or who knows, maybe Mike spent a few bucks of company funds to buy lottery tickets. It could happen. On Medicare, my understanding is that other than some bare minimum standards for drug coverage it isn't the government but rather all the commercial insurers/PBMs for Part D and Advantage plans that make the decisions for formularies. I do often wonder about that. Management hasn't said a peep about it sense the head fake a couple of years ago implying coverage would be arriving at the beginning of 2018 or was it 2017 (so many disappointments with MNKD it all seems like a blurry bad dream). Would be funny (ironic) if Medicare coverage were to dramatically change this January with no hype ahead of time.

I believe there are slides from MNKD showing the indications being targeted by RLS. There was one slide that Mike showed for a while with Dronabinol Technosphere for CINV. There hasn’t been any official indication(s) disclosed pertaining to Cannabidiol Technosphere, and MannKind also has both of these listed for Various Indications in their Pipeline. More than likely, one or both of them will be developed for more than one medical condition (I hope so anyways).

Nothing new. But MC said "undisclosed molecule" with UTHR is still in play and probably moving into rodent tox studies in Q4 or Q1. (time 9:25 in the presentation)

I just listened to the call. I heard nothing new. Did anyone else? No nothing new....But that's fine. Mike has to stay focused and tell the MNKD story. He now has a great story to tell. He spent a lot of time on AFREZZA which is good. Good times ahead.

I always enjoy the bicyclists smacking the side of the cab on the way to LGA. Always a trip highlight.
