All this back and forth about VDex, there seems to a black and white thought pattern, either VDex is good, MNKD bad or visa versa. My thoughts all along were thus. Bill is an good businessman, and he saw a shot at possibly taking control of a potential huge moneymaker (a gamble yes, but the good ones take their shots, you will never succeed without taking shots)and was rebuffed. He took offense to that and launched his public attack against MNKD, which would probably cause Castagna's hackles to go up (I know mine would!). And we all saw the results. None of us really knows what went on behind closed doors..... just like social media now chances are you ran with the thesis you agreed with and ignored the other side. My point is, we are talking about men who, chances are, have big egos and don't like to lose (that is exactly who I want to lead my company, someone who doesn't like to lose)so they would definitely butt heads over this. I am invested in MNKD so I have a vested interest in them succeeding, and if VDex succeeds along the way and helps MNKD that is great too!

I don’t think morfu is trolling necessarily, but he seems to have an axe to grind with VDEX and his math skills are not quite on point at least in his analysis of the retention rate. The observation that the Vdex math does not add up, is neither from me nor new! For example there was a long discussion about this last year after Bill McCollough´s push to remove MC as CEO... Also, it seems the retention rate has not changed much since then and that MUST mean there is no significant new contribution from anybody with a high retention rate. As I said earlier, last year Castagna gave for Vdex 25scripts per week and it was never disputed.
It is not a matter of opinion that Vdex contributions remain insignificant.
These personal attacks are really not helpful! Please stick to the facts not the messenger. (They seem to be used in a tactic way to shut up Vdex critics, last time my posts ended up being deleted with the offensive ones from that falcon -I honestly forgot his nickname-, beside I am not aware to have broken any forum rules unlike him.. it happened before too and I while emphasize with the moderators, it seems to be methodical representing a serious forum abuse!)

These are my thoughts.. Bill wanted to get Afrezza into Dubai. They got rebuffed yes.
HfM wanted some new blood on the Board of Directors, that had nothing to do with Dubai or vice versa.
And anybody that still has an axe to grind is going to be left behind ..because there are no more axes.....we can both grow along side each other.
About the 25 scripts...Mike got that number from the two providers he knew about. At the time there were not any Mannkind reps in the territories we were in, we had gone into the territories that they had left. He didn’t know about our other providers. So there’s no harm in that. We don’t care, we’re not competing. We’re contributing. Just like a shareholder does when he/she gets a friend interested in Afrezza and they go get a script.
So I hope you get my point when I say there’s no more axes:-) So who’s ever still mad.. y’all can stop being mad and be happy!

So you are saying the number for Vdex is higher than 25scripts, by how much?
Maybe it increased 25% like all the other scripts and is now about 30scripts per week.
There is no factual statement from Vdex about this whatsoever! (Beside promises to do so for years!)
And as calmly as possible without any axes or any insults I can repeat the argument that follow directly from thethe overall low retention rate which has not changed since last year. This means: a) There is no "top contributor" with a high retention rate Like I was guessing two pages back the Vdex contribution to the overall scripts might be about 15%. Or is this already a "top contributor" for you, maybe there is a semantics problem. I consider about 15% insignificant in that sense, that Mannkind should absolutely focus on optimizing the 85% coming from regular Endos and other pathways.
b) There was no relative increase from a "top contributor" with a high retention rate over the last year.

I totally agree that’s absolutely what Mannkind should focus on. I think I’ve been perfectly clear. Bill gave the numbers for New Mexico in his video . Which was way before Kentucky opened. I am not giving numbers out on a message board to anonymous people. There’s no point to it and there’s no advantage in it. That’s only my opinion.
I question why you wanna know so bad. I don’t even know if you’re invested in Mannkind Stock, how would I...
We are not competing, we are growing alongside of each other. We are expanding and are very happy with the results.

The vdexdiabetes.com page still has the Open Letter to Mannkind Shareholders and commentary posted about garnering enough shareholders together to have a legal basis for enacting change: "Once this group of shareholders reaches the threshold of 10% of the shares outstanding, we will have more legal leverage to pursue change." Just wondering, is that still ongoing or water under the bridge?

>> I question why you wanna know so bad.
Well, I believe anybody with in interest in Mannkind should be wondering if the "top provider" you are so busy "not advertising for" is real or not.
But why keep trying so hard to make it personal? I think I mentioned several times already that this observation is neither from me nor new! (But Vdex keeps evading this for years, which typically is a very bad sign!)
Cant we just stick to the facts please?
>> I think I’ve been perfectly clear. Yes, it seems perfectly obvious, that neither you nor any of the other Vdex people have anything to add to the overall low retention numbers and the obvious conclusions: There is no significant contributor with a high retention rate nor was there any significant improvement of that rate over the last year indicating any significant progress for a "top provider with a high retention rate" over the last 12 months

Morfu, VDEX does have a high retention rate. People that go to VDEX want this. Vdex teaches people how to use afrezza correctly. All insulin has a learning curve. From the first VDEX white paper, which no longer comes up with the original link; "dosing: www.seventhform.com/vdexdownloads/vdex-whitepaper-072817.pdf page 22.Comments Afrezza’s speed of action is both a blessing and a curse. Clearly, it is a large factor in the safety of the product, but for longer meals, you may need more Afrezza to keep the post prandial levels in check. We recommend follow-on doses. For example, we advise with a standard meal to dose Afrezza 15-20 minutes after the start of the meal, and then another dose of the same size about 45 minutes later. With very long meals, we have even advised patients to administer two follow-on doses, for very tight control.
Vdex has a high retention because they know what they are doing. Now with Telehealth. Talked about years ago, the physicians need to be licensed in the state..... Vdex now has Telehealth and VDEX does work with insurance. Additionally Afrezza users are very happy.

I think Bill addresses that in he’s letter. I’ll ask though.

Maybe they should take those pages down, update them, or remove the links from the home page, if it is no longer current and relevant to the Vdex strategy.

Strong retention from Vdex, in turn sales to MNKD's bottom line. Old me would have distraugt with this, older me looking forward acceptance of superiority to other meal time insulin, thus domination of the market. If you were to sell now, what a pity.

If that is true and the overall retention rate was low last year and remains low, then the contribution from Vdex must be small in numbers with an insignificant trend over the last year, otherwise it MUST show in theoverall retention rate, dont you agree?
And my disclaimer: This observation is neither new nor from me, please dont shoot the messenger!
