No email....................I guess I need to buy more shares. It's a PDF. One interesting statistic that I don't remember seeing before: In the three years from 7/1/17 to 6/30/20 our stock price was up 24.1 percent, which wasn't great but better than the Russell 3000 Pharma & Biotech Index, which was only up 15.2 percent.

Not an email to shareholders?

This one is irritating me. Here is another statistic michaelcastagnaMarket cap 2 billion. Market cap 400 million. Don't try the hood wink. Mike has been reading the board.

No email....................I guess I need to buy more shares. I never got an email about this newsletter. Thanks for sharing. I never got an email either. I cannot find it through the company website either. Making it available to select few people is disappointing. Whoever receives them via email will you please post them. I really like the idea, reminds me of the old school MannKind Annual Reports they used to do over a decade ago.

Irresponsible, short-sighted, juvenile, and non-conforming are some words that come to my mind. I'm sure there is some SEC reg that requires consistent and wide-spread dissemination of material information for public companies. So as a minimum, I would not expect anything earth shattering from the newsletter. In fact, with the bloated statistics on stock performance once again insulting most readers, I'd prefer the newsletter stay within the confines of those that appreciate and praise every little tidbit thrown to us.

If you do that calculation again in roughly one month (Oct 2017), we are down 66%.
So yeah, like peppy said, data can be manipulated to conform to a narrative. And like goyocafe said, Castagna is full of crap and insulting long term investors bragging about stock performance.

According to the MannKind newsletter, our stock price increased by 52.2 percent in the "year" between "7/1/20" and 6/30/20. I've emailed IR about this obvious typo - let's see if they do anything about it.

I can't really fault them for this. I don't see any outrageous data manipulation. They are reporting standard metrics (3 year, 1 year, and YTD returns). If this newsletter is a going concern and they report the same metrics each month, they will do an October to October and November to November comparison soon enough.

I hope you’re right, but I’m not holding my breath. If there’s a newsletter, let’s see if they document such statistics.

Regarding "standard metrics", it missed 5 year return. Charles Schwab kindly provided that data as -91%.

If Mike C wants to talk about stock performance, it should list the performance of other diabetes related stocks. For example, DXCM 3-year return is 456%. TNDM: 1246%. LVGO (only has 1 year data): +331%. Diabete related stocks are booming.
