Sportsracho´s FB story seems to prove an old point I made against VDex business model as a long term strategy:
>> more and more patients learn how properly dose Afrezza without Vdex
Are we really going here again? The demonstrated benefit of PWD going the Vdex route versus the traditional Endo or PC route is obvious—they receive significantly better care and achieve significantly better results. PWD cannot receive personalize care at the local Endo or primary care clinic like they can at Vdex. Even if the patient figured out how to properly dose Afrezza on his/her on (certainly won’t by following the label instructions), then that just underscores even MORE why we need Vdex. Even more is the fact that in the latest White Paper Vdex disclosed some remarkable data: Average starting HbA1c: 10.4 Average lowest HbA1c attained: 6.6 Total drop in HbA1c: 3.8 in about 104 days. That is significant. All done using Afrezza through Vdex. Also something else pretty remarkable worth mentioning from the report is: While these gross numbers are impressive, perhaps more impressive is that 72% of patients attained an HbA1c of 7 or below. Majority of PWD don’t reach that level, which is set by ADA, and is actually still much too high as it is still in the red zone for microvascular damage, oxidative stress and so on. Vdex goes beyond the proven treat to failure protocols of ADA, which is what all Endo clinics and Primary Care clinics use. >> Are we really going here again? I am not sure where you are going and why.
>> That is significant. All done using Afrezza through VDex.
It is significant, Afrezza works! VDex needs Mannkind, but not so much the other way around as Sportrancho´s example shows. I patient on FB was helped without any involement of VDex, that business model might soon be obsolete.

The whole point of the post was Afrezza does not stop working like so many believe. Or why do patients not like the drug? Or feel it doesn’t work for them. Or why they don’t stay on it. If I can get 2-3 new Telehealth patients a day from interacting on social media and we retain them. “Actually re-train them” it’s just another positive experience for Afrezza.

It has been a tough slog convincing some folks here of the efficacy of VDEX and its protocol. But they are starting to get it, and even morfu will at some point. Thanks for being patient Sports and continuing to share the facts!

Since you mention me by name, let me point out for you one more time to that sportsrancho´s story was not involving VDex, but quite contrary demonstrated that VDex is not needed at all to get the dosing right: As she wrote, there was a misinformed/misdosing patient who got help at fb, that is my very example from about a year ago why companies like VDex will eventually become obsolete!
That "protocol" she describes here is nothing special from VDex, Sam Finta described similar tricks years ago, again: before and without VDex.

The script count now and for the past three years begs to differ.

We all know that the script count is WRONG ... and doesn't really matter anyway. And morfu - VDEX is very much needed for the diabetic that needs the hand holding. I really don't have a problem with them being in business.
But, that's mytakeonit

No >> VDEX is very much needed Wrong!

I have no idea what you’re talking about, Vdex helped the patient and got them a telehealth appointment with our top provider. I’m the one that did that, this was just two days ago!

There was a patient with prescription looking and finding help about dosing on Facebook. That seemed to be the end of the story so far, what did I miss?

He reached out to Vdex specifically under one of my posts about Vdex. I told him I could set him up with our top provider for a telehealth session, he said great so I gave him the information and it got set up. In addition to that on the same day I had two other patients private message me and ask for appointments. I only feel qualified to answer basic questions but when they need in-depth help with their dosing because they feel the product isn’t working then it’s best to set them up with one of our providers.

Rancho, i have a dear friend in Miami who is T2, severely out of control. His Endo is passive on Afrezza but after I spoke with him, he's going to start pushing for it. Is there a way he could contact someone you recommend via Telefon for advice? He's reluctant to ditch his Endo just yet but he's not against it. Recently he almost lost his leg due to an otherwise simple cut...

That’s where the original post came from because I needed help answering the question so I asked Bill and he talked to me about it. We agreed it would be best to get him an appointment. I just relayed to you guys what Bill said to me about it.

And also the one that made the video of how to inhale Afrezza which is also on this thread. Tell her you were referred by Bill McCullough and myself. And I will also make her aware.
