Wonder if the full text goes into detail about Technosphere.
Only $25 to find out.

Technosphere® technology
MannKind’s Technosphere technology is a multipurpose pulmonary delivery platform cultivated from substituted cyclized dipeptides, for example, fumaryl diketopiperazine (FDKP). Acid-induced, intermolecular, self-assembly of FDKP is materialized for a particle matrix (microcrystalline plates structure) of Technosphere. It is a 3D sphere with particle size (2–5 μm) that is suitable for pulmonary delivery. After inhalation, Technosphere dissolves quickly and releases an active payload into the lungs, owing to FDKP’s high solubility at pH ≥ 6. Numerous Technosphere formulations are under clinical trials for diabetes mellitus (Types 1 and 2), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma and pulmonary infections [16]. The unique, single, excipient-based Technosphere technology has the potential to improve the aerosolization performance of inhaled therapeutics.

charlieL 11/8/19, 05:20 PM $MNKD afrezza should be promoted as a maintanace insulin not a mealtime insulin. they are used for both but the fact is you can correct your blood sugar at anytime. come on mike this you should know

The maintenance approach seems less cumbersome for type 2’s ... cgm maintenance and AFREZZA... possibly OTC .. look I know , easier said then done , been here nine yrs . It would become an addiction, how could it not once they begin ... after seeing the results... autonomous approach would seem appealing with the help of the likes of a clinic / VEDEX. ....AND CREATIVE OUTDOOR BILLBOARDS.to get them on board.

I'm curious. What on earth is a maintenance insulin? Does he mean basal? Its an interesting idea. There is no current "maintenance" SOC category. For T1's its for corrections. Here is a nice little video which includes this discussion www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPUwcpqIlfM&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR09RtdRbnzmKN3uSIzcOx0-ja54yh10RWuIw_opkIrn3xtpSuE42RWnRLgFor T2s it could be marketed as a whole new approach to diabetes treatment. With T2s we know post meal BGs with many T2s is well above 200. As CGM use increases with T2s this will become even more well known. T2s on orals don't currently have the concept of corrections. With afrezza now they would. Kendall getting this category to the SOC is a long shot but who knows. I say its worth a shot. At the same time it looks like MNKD is finally getting the large scale T2 study which you have been asking for for years with the India study. I am interested to see which CGM vendor they are working with on this.

Could never understand the absence of the two unit / maybe with the cgm’s being more ubiquitous.. they will come into play for “CORRECTIONS “ would be a big advantage for maintenance marketing.
