Almost always when it goes up with no real news it goes right back down. It is probably just shorts playing with us to make money.
This time could be different. But there is no way to know ahead of time. The one thing you don't want to do is buy shares now just because it is going up.
The 1.60 warrents might have something to do with it.

Many small biotechs rallied during Q4 2019. Maybe MNKD is playing catch-up.

Actual sold some shares into the 1.50 this morning. Looking for it to return back to 1.42-1.44 range to get em back. I sold my small amount of holdings this morning. I only purchased them back in December, so it was a nice 10% gain in a month or less. The pop over 1.50 was moments after I sold. Why are shares up? I’m guessing either MNKD got caught up in the recent overall market updraft or shares are being manipulated up in advance of I don’t know what.

Up is a relative term. But, my purchase of 11,500 more shares at $1.48 off of a 4x gain made on 1960 shares of BLDP in my Roth may have helped. Between Roth and Trading account,I believe this swap gets my overall average cost on MNKD very close to today's trading price. So, up up and away (with it)!

If MNKD was sold for $500 million cash I would be disappointed, thinking that was a pretty good price for the over $2 billion (anyone still keeping track?) invested in this technology to date. Along the way there have been many business disappointments and regulatory debacles, but I am not aware of any significant medical issues where Afrezza has been shown to be less than Al Mann said it was. (Of course the naysayers can simply point out that Al Mann was not a doctor.)
I have a nephew who was diagnosed with T1 about 5 years ago at age 8 and has always used the pump, and now a CGM. Seeing the incredible family stress over diet and hypos, I can tell you that Al Mann was also right that the pump is not the last word in diabetes treatment.

I think some Brazilian irrationally exuberant retail investors are fueling this little run up while not expecting a Brazilian haircut.
