We have seen this 3 times since March. 1. Pre Ad Com shorts got the PPS down under 4 only to see to bounce back in a good way. 2. The Friday of FDA approval. PPS got smacked down immediately only to bounce back after hours and on the following Monday. 3. Once again we saw the shorts do their thing after SNY partner news. And once again we WILL see the bounce back.
The future looks very bright for MNKD and MNKD technologies. We are only in the 3rd inning of a nine inning game. (Just that it feels for a lot of us that we have been in extra innings and sudden death overtime.)

I keep telling myself nothing has changed with this story, nothing has changed (except more cash, and a big partner to market our widgets). i will add that this was the only one of the three of these attacks where I didn't have the (ahem) to buy more. and I actually felt sick to my stomach yesterday watching this (I know, I know, toughen up).

It has taken me 48 hours to decide that I don't need Psychiatric counseling because of my investment in MNKD. In reality, I did everything right. I bought into a very promising biotec company, led by an extraordinary individual, Al Mann. Although it has been a rough ride, MNKD has delivered the goods. They have received FDA approval of Afrezza with a decent label and a major pharma partner willing to put their clout and reputation behind the product. I am a little disappointed by the terms of the deal and the rather low key enthusiasm shown by both parties at the press conference. But big pharma usually likes to keep their projections under control, allowing them to exceed expectations. Actually, this is a good thing. i hate to have to admit that Babaoriley was right about the ability of the shorts to manipulate the share price, but eventually the progress that will made by the partnership will take care of the shorts.
Spiro here, still depressed but surviving

So as I see it we've been gamed short term. Biotech's especially fall prey to pump-and-dump AND short-and-distort based on potential valuation. Gamer's make money on the way up and then on the way down. This is not investing but they make money on the game. This short game irritates me to no end but it's part of the Wall Street game set up to profit the manipulators...

Everyone should cheer up, today is about 1000 light years better than yesterday; shoot, I felt so down yesterday, I couldn't even bring myself to call Spiro and commiserate (besides, I figured he was probably busy packing his long underwear, woolens and jackets).
Well, now that we have been approved and have a great partner, isn't it time to all get together to celebrate? I've rethought the Vegas idea, though, I was thinking the little town of Baker would be more appropriate, it's about 90 miles southwest of Las Vegas, and boasts the world's tallest thermometer, and it's also known as the "Gateway to Death Valley." Population is under 1,000, so the townspeople will really welcome us!! Likely a couple of nice motels with pools, real "destination" sort of spot.

Doesn't AL have a place in Vegas? Maybe he rents it VRBO?

Vegas still sounds good to me, as long as I can split the costs of a room at Motel 6 with 10 or 20 other people.

Do you think Sanofi will pay for 65% of my Happy Meals?

Speaking of Happy Meals, if we all become diabetic due to Happy Meal diet and stress, do we get a stockholders discount on Afrezza?

help me to understand the short list fail to deliver as posted by the SEC.
What You Should Know About the Data File The information in this file is raw data — data that are meant to be used as input to another program. The data items are provided as a "pipe delimited" text file. Although the file can be viewed in any program that accepts ASCII text (for example, a word processor), the data fields are best viewed when imported into a program that accepts delimited data, such as a spreadsheet or a statistical application. The record layout and maximum field sizes are shown below for those who want to process the data into another form. Download the Current Fails-to-Deliver Data Report for the first half of July 2014 www.sec.gov/foia/failsreports/cnsfails201407a.zipThis data file is 7/1-7/14 can somebody more technical sort just the MNKD shares from the attachment and post. I could do it one by one but there were too many of them. Thanks

Mattm: As far as I can tell, the first field is obviously the date, the second is the stock identifier, the third is the trading symbol, the next field appears to be the shares traded short and the final field is the price at which they were traded. If the transaction cannot be executed within 3 days as backed by "real shares", it is considered a market violation, as the short trade occurred without actual shares behind it (delivered after the transaction was complete). This is the definition of a "naked short." In other words, these trades occurred with "phantom shares." No actual shares were "borrowed" and delivered, as the practice dictates. Don't you love a market where you can receive money in exchange for bartering something you don't actually have? It's a major problem with shorting and one of the reasons why I hate the practice. Shorting is not adequately regulated and it creates a disadvantage for startup companies and an unlevel playing field for long investors. Add this to the orchestrated FUD attacks as compared to closely monitored and regulated statements by companies, and you get what you get. To paraphrase the late Stephen Covey: Systems are always "perfectly" aligned to get the results that they get. For a quick informative account of naked shorting, see the Wikipedia EntryFor more insightful information on the destructive forces at play that take advantage of "naked shorting", see the informative website combatting "financial terrorism" known as Deep Capture, started by Overstock.com's CEO, Patrick Byrne, who is on a mission to get the SEC off it's crony-influenced derrière and regulate naked shorting. The practice almost cratered his company during its early going. Of course, in the interest of balanced reporting, I should mention that "the industry" feels that calls for increased regulation are unjustified because violations are minimal. Sure. Like speeding on our highways is uncommon. Good luck to all longs, Chris-C

I wonder if we have any attorneys on this board. We should consider a class action against Jason Karp for his purposeful attempt to tank the stock.
