My question is why they would “pre-announce” this offering and let the stock price drift down 10%? Why wouldn’t they just announce it when they could disclose the terms and had the investors locked in? Is there an SEC requirement to announce intentions? I guess I have the same question regarding the sale/lease back of the plant. exactly

Where would we even get a partner for peds? After what happened with Sanofi I wouldn't trust another big pharma partner in the insulin business. By the way, given today's action, has Shkreli been let out of jail?

By the way, given today's action, has Shkreli been let out of jail? Getting the dosing right is key and I believe a huge accomplishment, because what a waste of time money and credibility if they didn’t!

My question is why they would “pre-announce” this offering and let the stock price drift down 10%? Why wouldn’t they just announce it when they could disclose the terms and had the investors locked in? Is there an SEC requirement to announce intentions? I can't say that EVERY company does it this way, but it seems whenever any company I watch issues such offerings they 'pre-announce' it this way. That leads me to believe there must be some SEC requirement. But I dunno for certain. I’m no expert but I do not believe there are any filing requirements around the “roadshow”. The roadshow is slang for when an investment bank (or consortium of banks) approaches large investors with the possibly for a financing transaction. They do so to gauge interest/appetite. This is - theoretically anyway - where the Bank earns its fee (along with risk of the initial trades in the primary offering itself). So this deal may have been discussed for some time now. The filing with the SEC announces the deal (required) and the pricing will take place shortly - in this case within 13 days. I guess the indications were decent as the company can issue an additional 22.5mm if there is sufficient interest.

Was there any good reason to do this? Im in no hurry to see them spend money on Phase 3 pediatric study for Afrezza. It would be different if current sales of Afrezza were better. Not happy to see them spending money they don't have on a drug that is selling the way it is.
Would this 150million be due in 2026? So well after Tyvaso DPI is approved they don't think they can finance additional studies without doing this.

Was not expecting such an over reaction to a good little company on the rise. It will be interesting to see how long this takes to bounce back; months, weeks, days, hours?

MNKD does have a habit of announcing things in ways that maximize the damage to their stock price. Been going on for years. Seems like announcements that improve the stock price are far and few between. In this case when you pre-announce that you may take on debt in excess of 10% of your market cap, the result is a comparable drop in stock price. Sigh... On the other hand, this “damage” to the stock price has created an unbelievable buying opportunity, perhaps the last time ever MNKD shares can be essentially stolen at these basement prices. Time to load up the truck, am I right? One thing has become very reliable with Mannkind stock. You will have plenty of buying opportunities!

Thank you for clarifying that. I was about to make this point. I would expect nothing less from you Mr Quest. You can call me Johnny!

A partner to do what? Pay for a PIII clinical trial? "Hope" and "actually pull it off" sounds like you aren't really invested here rather, just making noise or am I misunderstanding your true agenda? Goyo's been here a long time. I don't think you have to worry about his agenda. He's just been through a lot with MNKD. I read the same soft bashing on message boards. Just sounded like the same to me. As far as length of time here, I'm not sure what to make of sentiment from that metric but, I believe you are trying to say something positive.

The 5 minute chart just printed a DeMark TD Sequential Buy signal. The 10 minute chart has a completed DeMark TD Combination 13 buy signal and a TD Analog buy signal. There was a large 50 Cent gap at the open so any short term traders have to see what I'm seeing. All of the Bill Williams signals are green in those time frames. Volume has gone to almost nothing. The knee jerk selling is probably done and the chartists are paying attention. There was just a TD Price Flip signal on the last 10 minute bar
