So no partner for Afrezza pediatrics then? Got it. MC will go it alone and we can hope he actually pulls it off. A partner to do what? Pay for a PIII clinical trial? "Hope" and "actually pull it off" sounds like you aren't really invested here rather, just making noise or am I misunderstanding your true agenda? Lol. My “agenda” is to continue to hold MC accountable to shareholders. Those of us that have been here far longer than others can recall so many missed steps and cockups that these finance deals just rip the scabs right off. And to answer your question, the debate about sharing costs and benefits with the pediatric arm of the Afrezza adventure has long been discussed. I was simply pointing out that if this new round of funding is earmarked for the study, that it may well indicate the direction he has decided to go, for good or bad. MNKD does not have a good record with running studies. One could argue that partnering would bring in much needed expertise in these areas. But perhaps with Afrezza’s status he couldn’t find a partner. Who knows.

I believe the details of the offering will be released in the next day or two. As is usual, the details will not be pleasing to most. But with these large sums of money, it guarantees we can keep management gainfully employed for years to come.

So this morning's drop started the right side of the head-and-shoulders top formation I've seen form since November. If that's the case, I'll be buying again when we hit $2 around May 1st.

My question is why they would “pre-announce” this offering and let the stock price drift down 10%? Why wouldn’t they just announce it when they could disclose the terms and had the investors locked in? Is there an SEC requirement to announce intentions? I guess I have the same question regarding the sale/lease back of the plant. This is the normal SOP. Hoping for a < 5% CR and CP of $8.00

MNKD falling on the announcement of unsecured debt may be a by-product of not discussing this at all during the full year and fourth quarter conference. Instead of a making a vague announcement today that can create more questions than answers, mannkind could of discussed this during the conference. After the Christmas debacle, of course the stock is going to react like this. Mannkind needs to say what they are going to do, why and how it will benefit them and shareholders in the long run in a forum that will allow for questions. Lame.

This time IS different...I would definitely wait to see both who is involved with this placement and the terms.
I say different because this time the company is dealing from strength not weakness BIG difference. Let me give a similar experience I had this past year.
About a year ago I had some calls in CLDX when it was trading between $2-$3 and everyone was sour on mgmt. They announced a 150M mix shelf offering in Dec.'19. Cantor Fitzgerald was the firm handling the placement. There were bashers all along the way as the price started to move up...today it's trading at $27 area, there was an entity that took just under a 10% equity stake in the company, bottomline...don't jump to conclusions based on what has transpired in the past. JMHO 😉

The 5 minute chart just printed a DeMark TD Sequential Buy signal. The 10 minute chart has a completed DeMark TD Combination 13 buy signal and a TD Analog buy signal. There was a large 50 Cent gap at the open so any short term traders have to see what I'm seeing. All of the Bill Williams signals are green in those time frames. Volume has gone to almost nothing. The knee jerk selling is probably done and the chartists are paying attention. There was just a TD Price Flip signal on the last 10 minute bar Any other signals out there? People will go to the ends of the earth to support the share price.
