I was discussing MNKD with two different stock picking buddies, recently, each of which knowing I've owned it for a long time and have unrealized net gains on it.
Both asked me if I would buy it at then a price between $5 and $6. I said, "yes," that it was my opinion it would go a lot higher in coming years, so it was a buy and hold.
However, this past weekend, I was thinking about their questions, and thought, already owning what I do, would I still buy a few more shares? That is, would I put my money where my mouth was? The answer was still yes. I couldn't place my order until last night, so, hopefully I'll get them at a 33% discount to their already discounted value.
Either way, this will be my last purchase. I plan to "hold until they're gold."
My head, heart and stomach are all in. We'll see what the next 18 months brings.

My last purchase is hanging out there for the poor folks that must bring another bear raid. I put it at 3.74, I don't care if it fills or not. Added premarket and sub 4 after open. Is this what stealing feels like? We can discuss this further when sp hit's $10.

I have been in this forum for years but never post. I have been long MNKD for years in multiple accounts, gradually averaging down and then selling the higher priced shares along the way. I couldn't resist selling some shares (5% of my total) when it had the recent pops above $6. Unfortunately, after the convertible debt announcement, i bought those shares back too early yesterday - half at $5.52 and more at $5.40. So my answer to the question is YES - I would buy MNKD. The biggest problem with the debt announcement for the short term price is that it has reinvigorated the shorts. Yesterday was a huge volume day with over 11 million shares traded. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you like to buy on dips), the naked short % of volume yesterday was 66%. www.nakedshortreport.com/company/MNKD The good news for MNKD overall has been overwhelming positive as of late. This in no longer just an Afrezza story. I have researched this stock more than any in my portfolio and remain a long term believer. While I don't always agree with the way that management executed, we are not in their shoes. A year from now, I believe the price action during this period will be largely forgotten, except for those long term believers who bought on this dip (and the shorts who get burned on the short squeeze to come)!

I added a smidge to our MNKD today. If the stock rebounds over the next couple of weeks ($6+) I will be quick to let them go. I am already too exposed to this stock, but could not resist one last bite. Of course I have been saying that for the last 10+ years.

BTW, The MNKD pro board is as darn addictive as the stock, especially when things are looking good.

I bought more this morning with nausea. I can never tell my wife we have 200,000 shares. Maybe next year, next year, next year for last 12 years.

When the price hits $10, you will crack open a bottle of your favorite beverage and dance naked with her in front of a full moon explaining what a brilliant investor you are! Oh wait, that's my plan. Never mind.
