Would I Buy MNKD?
Hey I think you know the answer to this question. I've poured another $150K into this stock last week and will do what it takes to buy more. This co is destined for greatness. Hang in there guys things are getting pretty exciting.

Some folks here do NOT want to hear that! But thanks for giving us the straight scoop mn. I would rather MNKD not get bought. There is a tremendous amount of value in technosphere that will be monetized in the years ahead. I’d rather participate directly in that through ownership of MNKD shares. I also feel confident that the current management will get us there. Guess you’ll frown at this cuz I’m supposed to complain or risk being labeled a cult member? |

Do you see what I see? COPD. Martine could take over the COPD market. That is what I believe the price movement is all about. MNKD will have the second product, The tyvaso. UTHR has the sales team, first order the samples. The alveoli. Martine is in the alveolar bed business. Airway, Breathing, Circulation.   |

I was discussing MNKD with two different stock picking buddies, recently, each of which knowing I've owned it for a long time and have unrealized net gains on it. Both asked me if I would buy it at then a price between $5 and $6. I said, "yes," that it was my opinion it would go a lot higher in coming years, so it was a buy and hold. However, this past weekend, I was thinking about their questions, and thought, already owning what I do, would I still buy a few more shares? That is, would I put my money where my mouth was? The answer was still yes. I couldn't place my order until last night, so, hopefully I'll get them at a 33% discount to their already discounted value. Either way, this will be my last purchase. I plan to "hold until they're gold." My head, heart and stomach are all in. We'll see what the next 18 months brings. The asset allocation people would tell you, that you as a "living room analyst" have no chance against the thousands of mathematicians and scientists permanently combing through all data trying to find an error in any fundamentals. So you should buy Mannkind just as anything else.
The analysts seem to be hellbent to keep the Mannkind share price in the lower single digit.
I disagree and stated before that I hope for an eps above $1 within the next 10years as the prospect of this company looks great to me. More important than your question "should I buy" seems to me, why would anyone sell at the current price? (I would have expected no one would but wait either for a higher price or how the situation plays out.. but I was wrong.. and do not remember how many tens of millions of shares were sold last week..)

Would I buy more at $5 - $6  NO WAY !!! Oh I miss the days of 82 cent shares ... in any case, what would I do with another million shares BTW, I am working on my taxes and see that I did a fast 2 - 3 week turn around buy/sell run of Inovio, MNKD, and Novavax in 2020 that gave me almost $86k profit. That's a little more than I need to pay my 2020 tax filing balance. Now I wonder if I need to add more to my Federal tax withholdings for 2021 ... since I made that $272k gain the other month This accountant will have to read up to see if I will get tax penalties if I wait till I file next year. But, that's mytaxonit |

I thought Mytakeonit was an accountant. If so, he would know the rules about under payments on quarterly estimates cold. My memory may be failing, though, perhaps he’s not an accountant. But it Suresh’s seem like he has lots of profits. I’m pretty impressed!

Ahhh ... I was an accountant like 25 years ago ... when I retired early. But, I wasn't a tax accountant ... just the usual day trader accountant. The taxes that I'm working on is for the year 2020, so I don't have to pay them till April. I also haven't been working in 25 years so I don't have to file quarterly estimates. Hey, I make enough money ... I should hire a tax accountant to do this paperwork. Hopefully, he/she will be up to speed with all these IRS tax law changes. BTW, no stimulus money for me ... but, if my woman accountant is cute ... it could be stimulating. But, that's mytakeonit Okay I got my answer. I don't have to file a quarterly. They do list capital gains, but it's more like if you are in business like that. I can easily sell some old high priced MNKD stock at a loss and wipe out that $272k gain, but I doubt that it'll be necessary. |
