Greetings to all of those who have been here forever and a day. My God, what an investing experience, I truly believe we have seen it all. Anyway, I am trying to play devils advocate in my head before I continue buying more and more but at these prices it is becoming irresistible. So, my question, can anyone see a plausible scientific/medical reason that the FDA could base a denial of Tyvaso on in April? I cannot but surely I am missing something...? Thank you in advance for your time and efforts.

I agree, that’s for the old delivery method.

Indeed, you are correct Peppy and my apologies. That is what I get for trying to keep one eye on MNKD and work - Ha, sorry about that.

United on their call today said they will allow prescribers to decide if they want to discuss Tyvaso DPI or nebulizer Tyvaso with their patients. It did not sound as if United would be pushing for a direct shift over to DPI from nebulizer. It would be up to the patient to see the benefits and the prescriber to describe them to the patient. It could be a slowish uptake.

The high retention is unsurprising if you watch a Tyvaso promotional video. The current nebulizer is the size of a small bong with numerous parts to assemble and disassemble with every use and must but be sufficiently charged for each use. Also, the carrying case is the size of a small suitcase. If over 5% of current patients chose to stay with nebulizer over Dreamboat I would be shocked... I am talking night and day difference in convenience of platforms. As if the increased performance of drug would not be enough.

I wonder what the price difference and insurance coverage will be for Tyvaso (nebulizer) vs. DPI? That will be critical to how fast the switchover will be.

Darn, that sounds like that inhaled insulin stuff, what is it... oh, yes, Afrezza! Flying off the shelves!
