I guess this conference call will be longer than usual. In the mean time, my $$$ is coming in a week and I might have a chance to buy more cheap shares. But, that's mytakeonit Admin problem ... don't blame me ... I'm only an accountant.

Yes, admin matters...greatly! CLEAN IT UP!

The filings were for performance awards to employees ... nothing to do with drug filings. IMO
But, that's mytakeonit

Yes, Mannkind has people who are undoubtedly responsible for these "oversights", but the job simply wasn't being done. This filing reads like a list of excuses, not true leadership.
It's amazing to me that Mannkind has managed to avoid bankruptcy: If a company cannot perform the basics, how would they ever be able to do more profitable things like sell drugs and form/manage successful partnerships.
The person at the top is ultimately responsible, and that's Mike Castagna. If he cannot perform, he should step down and let someone with more skills take the job.
I'm fairly certain that Martine Rothblatt at United Therapeutics doesn't have this sort of problem in her company. From the talks I've heard from Martine, excellence is sought in all things, and Mannkind leadership should strive for that as well.
Rant over (for now).

No doubt is should have been caught but, even the best, like Mike Castagna can drop a fly ball every once in awhile. What separates good from great? The eagerness to strive for perfection...and that is what he brings everyday to the game. I agree this should not have happened but, it didn't even cost us a run.
