(I kid, I kid 😎) Well, since I sold them, someone else (whose identity is unknown to me) has been holding them, and yes it has been a few months! I’m hoping to have gotten the better end of the deal, but we’ll know in a couple of days…

People tend to forget how bad things were and what a turn around it needed to be. Takes a while to get an aircraft carrier to change course, but it looks like we're certainly heading in the right direction and a lot to look forward to. Added share yesterday, even more today.... Yes..exactly, most people would not admit how bad things were or they were in complete denial when sweedee and I would tell them the stock was circling the drain. Truly you wake up one morning and you think ..oh my God we WERE dancing on the deck of the titanic. We’ve been dipping up and down in choppy water making the slow turn. Now heading off towards a beautiful 🌅 sunrise. From the deck of the Titanic to the promising future of today. Thanks and congrats MC! I'm glad you didn't let the noise distract you from your mission!!

Martine does an outstanding job running UTHR! MC does an equally good job running MNKD! I suppose that's what brings the synergy between the companies. Congrats to both on building technosphere into a viable platform for both drug delivery, and patent life extension for multiple companies going forward! I'm looking forward to the "October eruption" to put the "sky is falling" crew back under their rock.

I'm looking forward to the "October eruption" to put the "sky is falling" crew back under their rock. I am totally with you about the October eruption, LL. But, I don't think there are any "sky is falling" crews here. I think everyone here is onboard, seat-belts on and waiting for lift-off. The group I think you are referring to (which I am part of) is the "Mediocre Mike" crew - the crew that believe that MC has barely done a mediocre job since he was hired. We have beat this horse to death already and I do not want to get into it again, but I always like to address the "misinformation" on this board by at least leaving a post with the opposite opinion so newbies don't get the wrong idea about Mediocre Mikey.

IMO, there's nothing mediocre about MC. He joined a company with an incredible science but disastrous balance sheet. The business model at the time was solely focused on a flagship product that wasn't selling. There was not only necessary dilution and a reverse split but talk of potential bankruptcy. He tried a few things at first, some that didn't work such as the TV ad, then made the decision to completely overhaul the business model and focus on expanding the pipeline while dragging Afrezza along. This got the attention of quite a few emerging drug companies for small partnerships and even some international expansion. During this time, his new team also won trust from UTHR to move forward. Who cares about prior relationships? His team made it happen. During this time, his finance team continuously renegotiated poor agreements from the past and turned the balance sheet around. He also had to manage the company through the Covid quagmire.
Today the company is thriving with a pipeline of exceptional potential that includes life changing health care in diabetes, lung disease and more. Martine is great and Mannkind's relationship with UTHR looks strong but that alone was not responsible for the turn-around. Of course it was important, but speculating the what ifs is being a Monday morning quarterback because we'll never know what might have happened. For all we know MC could have been in talks with other drug companies discussing other potential big deals and chose to focus on UTHR. Again, we'll never know. One day MC will get the credit deserved for an amazing biotech turn-around that could likely be taught at Wharton or even turned into a movie considering the company's history with Al Mann, Martin Shkreli, Sanofi and more. The next year or two should be especially exciting. GLTA!

Mike is a smart guy but he was really green when he came into the diabetes space and he had no contacts. The good news is he has learned a lot and has been able to pull a few rabbits out of the hat when needed most. This time two years ago looked really bleak. Today the future is bright. If Al were still with us would MNKD be sitting at $4 today - I think not but I also think things are starting to look really bright.

Mike came in with an impressive resume that included a doctorate in pharmacy, a Masters in Business from Wharton and global experience with a strong drug company. He was certainly green in the position of CEO and needed to learn a lot about the company and its assets moving forward but that's the case with most new CEOs and it's all realistic. My point is simply that he's accomplished what appears to be an outstanding turnaround. BTW, I've really enjoyed your posts over the years!

Just to rein things in a little bit, because that's what I do: Right now this is still a $4/share stock. The future looks bright but we have been predicting great things for 10 years and something unexpected always happens.
I'm optimistic but I'm not going to put a down payment on the yacht until after the company is actually profitable.

To continue keeping things in perspective, this was a $2 stock only 10 months ago, but I agree with holding off on the yacht a little while longer
