Hi All, Long time follower of this board, first time poster. Thank you all for your input and opinions, it's helped me, and many others I'm sure. I wanted to post this write up a paramedic did yesterday giving his views on the trials and also offering a rebuttal to Adam Feuerstein's thoughts on the trials on Friday; empatheticmedic.blogspot.com/ Would anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks.

In any event I think we should add it to our resource library.

Thanks Ray. The rebuttal was excellent but the story was amazing. Every time I see an insulin commercial warning that you should take not take the shot unless you are going to eat within 10 minutes I shudder. I can't imagine going out to eat and trying to time the delivery of a meal and injecting myself. I have sat in plenty of restaurants and witnesses people injecting at the table and occasionally through a pant. Very sad. Even if Afrezza is only equal to the insulin shot it will be preferred by diabetics.

Great article. Possibly the best since the infamous Joe Springer piece in SA.

Thank you for taking the time to read the article. My only wish is to inform and educate in contrast to the misleading statements by pumpers/shorts. Good luck to you all. I will be doing a follow up article on the dangers of Type 2 diabetes drugs and the role that Afrezza will have in bringing about a progressive change in the standard of care for these patients. Good luck to you all!
Sincerely, Rajalonghorn

Great story about the mother in hypo and her 2 scared boys. Important reminder to all of us that this is above all else about better care for diabetic patients.

rajalonghorn,
Welcome to the board. Great article! You have very succinctly summarized many of the points I have made on various MNKD boards. I started this board a couple weeks ago to provide a great format for intelligent discussion of all things related to MNKD. I hope you will continue to participate.
The data release has provided a lot of ammo for FUDsters and shorts as many people do not understand statistics and clinical trial design. Bottom line - MNKD did what they needed to do and I have no doubt regarding FDA approval of Afrezza for all diabetics.
I can appreciate your unique perspective. I was a paramedic for many years prior to becoming a physician. You see things most physicians never see - such as related in your story about the diabetic mother. You see patients in the context of their lives - that is priceless! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I received multiple requests/suggestions and finally caved into the Seeking Alpha deal. Thank you liane for posting the link and I will be following in your footsteps as well, Paramedic to MD. I just want to enjoy a little bit of freedom before giving up so many years of life and going to Med school.

Thank you liane for posting the link and I will be following in your footsteps as well, Paramedic to MD. I just want to enjoy a little bit of freedom before giving up so many years of life and going to Med school. I so understand... When I finished my year of medic training (all while holding down a full-time unrelated job) I was exhausted. I told friends to physically restrain me if I ever tried to apply to med school. Well, a few years go by, and what do you know - I found myself in med school! So enjoy life for a while, and when you are ready, you will find your medic training invaluable.
