Open buys? No options exercise!? Not open buys, discounted shares buying, and very small purchases at that.

The terms of this plan are available if you want to dig through past filings. They are limited in what they are allowed to purchase, so I am not alarmed at the small buys.

They are limited in the buying discounted shares. They are not limited in open market purchases given its not in a dark period around earnings.

David Kendall still waiting for Mike to allow him to buy shares. That was a sign sales were never going anywhere.

Noted on all the forms:
Explanation of Responses: 1. The reporting person purchased shares through the Company's Employee Stock Purchase Plan effective January 31, 2022.
As stated above in another post, you will need to dig into the "Employee Stock Purchase Plan" to further understand these amounts. I never put any weight, good or bad, into these are as they are pre-determined employee compensation incentives. I've already posted a thread on my thoughts concerning the lack of insider buying. While one can argue they have bought shares on the open market, one can also argue that not nearly enough insiders have made the same financial commitment.
Is there a long standing house rule that MNKD is always under some sort of negotiations with partners or some other significant event that might bring scrutiny over the open buys? I don't want to get started again but, this always boils my blood with MNKD, especially when shares are so cheap "Joe Shitthe Ragman" can afford these and he has no insider knowledge.

My observation is that sla4325 posted these Form 4s without commentary as a means of drawing our attention to a company filing describing an objective event. But I'm mystified that even presumably neutral posts can get turned into points of contention. There are not many investors here who are happy with the way their MNKD stakes have performed. For me, after enjoying a couple of years of being above water in one of my accounts, my decade long position there is still underwater. But I choose to remain invested because I believe the company is turning around. We've had endless conversations about why company executives don't buy more stock as an expression of optimism, and when such acquisitions do get reported, they are never large enough!! I'm totally convinced that if the stock popped to $50 tomorrow on the strength of a company announcement about a partnership, we would still see posts arguing that it wasn't enough and complaining that it didn't go to $60. I guess it's a sign of the times that some people refuse to be positive about anything.

If I remember correctly, this was discussed on Proboards awhile ago. I believe that someone asked Mike C about these small purchases and he said that it's incentives from MNKD. They would buy it and donate the shares or gift it to their kids. They didn't need it because they were paid enough.
But, that's mytakeonit
