I am just taking photos now, 2 hours of trade, half the normal volume. $SPX down 110. MNKD holding up strong today. Annual Meeting is tomorrow. Don't forget upon approval MNKD can exercise their $60M OPTION which will strengthen their BS. I heard on CNBC this morning a Good Balance Sheet with CASH is KING. MNKD checks those boxes.

That should start the dominos to fall. We are sitting on the greatest advance in diabetes care in over 100 years. Its a near cure for some T2 diabetics. Nothing else can do what afrezza does. Mike has all the pieces to make it happen except it being endorsed in a T2 SoC. Once he gets that, Boom. In the mean time Martine can sell some Tyvaso DPI and Receptor Life can work to get their first approved product.

If we can make phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor illegal, trept would be an in demand black market item. Everybody would have pulmonary hypertension and sales would sky rocket.

Sometimes people need help thinking outside the box. Dave Kendall saw the ADA as being in charge of "the SoC". I say, hey who says. At the time I assumed Dave was correct. Hey, Dave was a thought leader. He was the chief scientific and medical officer for the ADA. Up until very recently I think Mike also assumed Dave was correct and the ADA controlled "THE SoC". I am hoping he now realizes each organization has their own SoC and its his job to work with more than the ADA. He does not need afrezza in the ADA SoC, he needs afrezza in "a SoC". The AACE would work. He will be at the AACE conference in a few days - events.jspargo.com/aace22/Public/eventmap.aspx?shmode=E&shExhList=1&ID=95554&sortMenu=102000I am hoping he does more than get a good feeling after talking with a lot of thought leaders as he did at the ATTD. This is a great opportunity to start framing the AACE T2 SoC with CGMs and afrezza front and center. Whats the AACE got to lose? They are already playing second seat to the ADA. Maybe a few "Seeing is Believing" live demos could shake things up.

Interesting strategy. I worry MC is not a “rock the boat” kinda guy. Would love for the opposite to prove true.

I have some famiiarity with industry associations and standards development organizations (and regulatory authorities) and do agree there can blurring of lines, and for sure dominant members of an industry will sometimes influence standards in a way that match their product and marketing directions. This is capitalism.
I find sayhey’s arguments persuasive in terms of establishing an inhaled insulin standard of care, but I do not assume that this is the missing piece in the Mannkind marketing strategy. I also agree with sayhey that “Seeing is Believing” is a smart move to bring attention to Afrezza’s ultra-rapid action, and even moreso if it can highlight Afrezza’s SAFETY as compared to other insulins.
I continue to believe that endocrinologists are the bottle-neck in that they want data from studies and that general practioners follow the lead of the endos.
And to get us back on topic. How about that volume today, huh? More than 6 millions shares. Makes me wish I’d waited to add. But I think I’m done until we find out what the FDA is going to do with Treprostinil DPI.
