Volume 10. Afrezza, the worlds best mealtime insulin. Onset 12 mins, Peak @ 30 mins. Baseline 90 mins with a 4 unit cartridge. Limited to no health insurance coverage.  Afrezza has a non inferior allocation from the FDA. In the USA when medications are non inferior, the health insurance industry gets to pick which non inferior medication they cover. Health insurance has contracts with manufactures, if certain sales levels are met, Pharmaceutical manufactures pay in the health insurers rebates. Injectable subcutaneous insulin manufactures have the sales contracts with health insurance in place and along comes Afrezza. Injectable or subcutaneous insulin needs to work it's way from the tissue to the blood stream. 20 mins first measurable effect, 90 mins to peak and 5 hours to baseline. See the problem?  Afrezza, is sweet, blood glucose can be controlled.   In the USA @ 45% of the population have employer health insurance. 20% have Medicare. 100- 65= 35% no coverage unless they get private health insurance coverage. It took me years to understand this story.

It is the right time to start this Volume X thread, as Volume IX had run its course. For the sake of posterity, Volume IX thread went from Feb 2021 to Mar 2022. Share price was $5.71 when it started, $3.48 when it ended. peppy in your first post in that thread you posted:

We never hit the $8.49, but hopefully we will during Volume X. So thanks again peppy for starting this new thread, we are due for some better luck and I’m glad to join you for what will surely be an exciting ride!

"We choose to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it is hard" It feels like the rocket boosters are warming up, I too have been waiting for this launch for an age and sincerely hope it's long before the end of the decade, go for the moon mannkind (I'll refrain from the giant leap speech until I see that DPI approval)

The top 3 categories were cancer, diabetes, and pain medications. Pain was a distant 3rd, but diabetes and cancer were neck and neck and at least once traded places at the top. I hope Bill McCullough and Dr. Al Mann will be right about Afrezza (to be the best selling drug of all time) if not for the value to my portfolio but because I’m also convinced it will save lives and limbs. |

Volume 3,056,054 3.6224+0.1524 (+4.3919%) As of 10:00AM EDT. Market open. $3.66, $3.75, $3.97, $4.05 Anavex and Mannkind quite often move in tandem. Anavex was up big this morning as well. Both had moved up nicely last week until Friday when there was a bit of a sell off. Is this just a continuation of last weeks upward trend? |

MNKD popped right along with it on heavy volume for MNKD. Is March 31st thought to be the date of the FDA Citizen petition reply? Price needs to get above the $4.05.  The weekly, working with price I have changed the triangle into a descending wedge. The wedge looks ok as the slope of the top line and the bottom line almost equal. Same type of price expectation, the wedge price should move the same measurement as the wedge, on break and hold of the top line which secondary to slope looks like the point of break out is the break and hold of $4.90. geomean. (thoughts)  The month ends in two days. Good luck to us all  |
