United Therapeutics (NASDAQ:UTHR - Get Rating) had its price objective increased by research analysts at Jefferies Financial Group from $223.00 to $245.00 in a research note issued on Tuesday, MNKD estimates will have to be raised. They will avg $20M+ in Royalties per Qtr and don't forget they will drop to the N/I Line. The CM numbers will not. |

Based on the last quarter, "classic" Tyvaso makes ~$166m/qtr so a 12% royalty would be $20m. (IDK the MNKD royalty rate for Tyvaso DPI. Was that ever disclosed?)
It will be some time until Tyvaso-DPI puts up those numbers. Maybe they can sell it for a significant price drop and drive rapid conversion to DPI. I'm shocked at how expensive treprostinil is right now. Is the drug secreted from the pineal glands of snail darters? I assume it's the only game in town for treating PAH and UTHR takes what they can get.

Low 10% royalties PLUS manufacturing cost plus. Another intangible is that as more manufacturing is done, the lower the cost per unit is going to be which also translates to the bottom line.

Wasn't the exact phrasing "low double digit royalties"? Yes, "low double digit royalties". Not sure about anyone else but I've NOT given MNKD the benifit of assuming it is any higher than 10% since the announcement. Its better to not be disappointed. But it could be double that. |

My MNKD neighbors ... that I advised to buy MNKD on Friday the 13th !!! Bought in at $3 or a hair below on Monday. So, a week and a half later and they are up 40%.
I don't know how many shares they bought ... but they have young kids and extra $$$ would come in handy.

But now ... I'm awaiting the continuing saga of ... "When do I sell these shares ?!!!"
These people will see the pps climb and climb ... but eventually ... the above thought will kick in. !!!
As I've always said ... "BUY ALL THE CHEAP SHARES YOU CAN !!!" ... But, I've never said when to sell.
I've always said that I have a will to give it all to my wife and daughter. WHY? Because I really don't see when I would want to sell it if it keeps climbing. And that's the DUMB TRUTH !!!
