Darn. I don't think that's good. I'm thinking he expressed his good opinion(s) around Mike and Mike didn't like them, so he said to do it my way, and Alejandro didn't like that.

It's about time. He was DEAD WEIGHT. He brought nothing as the CCO and then as Endo Head. I think he was a good friend of Mike's.

Oh, then I wonder what the real deal was,
I always worry that when a C-level leaves that they will be taking MNKD's secrets to a competitor. I wonder where he is going.

Do you have any evidence of this or are you just speculating? Mike has said before that he doesn’t micromanage people or tell them how to do the job he hired them for, so I am going to assume you’re just speculating. He expects them to be able to do the job their were hired for without him breathing down their neck. I’m thinking the executives at MannKind have a lot of freedom to be creative. I’m thinking Alejandro just isn’t cut out for this and is going to pursue something more suited for him.

Obviously he’s speculating (it’s clear from his post), just like you are.
Doubtful we’ll get the real story here.

This is very sad news, very sad😡 So was Ben Harris leaving. They were far from deadweight, they actually got it and understood Afrezza.

Was this guy the architect of the $6M "Seeing is Believing" campaign which was an epic fail?

Probably nobody here has inside knowledge of what really happened, so I assume it's ok if we can take a little liberty with our WAGs. What I was really thinking is that this was like what was speculated about Dr. Kendall when he left (that there was some differences between the two - I don't really recall, but, well ok, I might have been the one to do that speculation, too ;o). What we do know about Mike is that he had a temper and wanted to do things his way when he and Bill were in discussions, so it's probably not too far of a leap for me to jump to conclusions.

Was this guy the architect of the $6M "Seeing is Believing" campaign which was an epic fail? Seeing is believing was/is an epic fail? I think it is brilliant. It should be on billboards and physician offices. If people do not believe what is in front of their eyes? They didn't know. Medicine is mysterious. That subq insulin should do it.

Afrezza is a failure and will be until the peds trial is complete. . Don’t blame him. Bad for the stock too.

Can definitely think of better people (or person) to be leaving than AG. This one stings.

I called it an "Epic Fail". Mike said they spent $6M and he pulled the plug early. The specific details I don't know. I thought they were going to take a small team and focus on large GP corporate firms like Geisinger who have a very large GP practice and who have a lot of T2 diabetes. I thought they were going to present and show a new "Standard of Care" using afrezza early in the T2 diagnosis combining it with CGM monitoring. I thought it was gong to be Mike's version of Seal Team 6 going after specific targets. I can not imagine how $6M was spent in less than 4 months.

We can speculate whether this is good or bad news but we'll probably never know the real story behind the scenes. What jumps out to me is that neither Kendall nor Galindo seemed to accomplish much in their diabetes sector for Mannkind. That said, it could be interesting how the market sees this announcement. My guess is the pps drops temporarily, returns quickly and this story will not even be a story. IMHO

An executive leaving after a few years is not a good thing, either they couldn't align with top leadership or they weren't a good hire to begin with. Neither option is very good for the CEO.
