What a long strange trip weave been on? Smoke on the Water! Deep Purple...? Yep. Peppy would like the next line for her dragon chart. “A fire in the sky.”’ The song tells the story of recording an album at a mobile studio in Montreux, Switzerland where the hotel they were staying in caught fire after “some stupid with a flare gun burned the place to the ground”. |

"long strange trip" was from the song Truckin (I think) by The Grateful Dead. "Smoke on the water" was from the song Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. |
