MNKD did give guidance once and missed badly a few years ago. They haven’t done it since. When I asked the question (at a special stockholders meeting) about guidance they said they don’t plan to re-established it anytime in the foreseeable future. They need to IMO. They are on the NASDAQ. That’s one of the reasons why analysts give upgrades, you just need to make sure you under promise and over deliver.

Looks like we started a new upward channel. Hopefully this accumulation will last as long as the last one.

LOW Volume at 1100. Can't gauge the reason other than to think bank earnings spooked the money flows and direction for the day.

Castagna did provide some guidance indirectly, via slide #12, the RBG chart. By using the chart he unofficially sort of implied he gave some credibility to the estimates, but did not take ownership of them. There are assumptions that have to be made for a lot of other variables in order to derive income from the chart. But, in terms of revenue from Tyvaso DPI royalties it is rather straightforward.

LOW Volume at 1100. Can't gauge the reason other than to think bank earnings spooked the money flows and direction for the day. I get the feeling traders are capitalizing on (creating) volatility when there isn't sufficient volume to prevent it. Not sure what the charts are predicting (cuz I struggle to read them and depend on peppy's explanations), but I assume we're in a holding pattern until the earnings report next month.

Trend Analysis MNKD appears to be correcting within a longer-term bullish trend. Although its MACD is presently below the signal line, shares remain 23.8% above an upwards sloping 200-day moving average. Comparative Relative Strength analysis shows that this issue is outperforming the S&P 500. As of 12:57 PM ET Friday, 01/13/2023 Momentum Momentum for MNKD is improving. The 14-period Slow Stochastic Oscillator is rising as investors begin to purchase shares. Volume Today's volume is on track to be lighter than usual, with 1,209,262 shares having traded so far. The On Balance Volume indicator (OBV) shows that longer term accumulation has given way to near term selling pressure by traders. Volatility Volatility, measured using the width of the Bollinger Bands®, is low. Periods of low volatility tend to precede price breakouts, although they do not provide information as to which direction the breakout will take. Trend and momentum indicators can be helpful to measure future trends. As of 12:57 PM ET Friday, 01/13/2023

<<<Momentum for MNKD is improving>>> With that being said, considering that in February 2021, the stock was trading near $6.00 a share and now it's in the $4.00 level---please explain all the good news since 2021, the United deal and revenue stream and pipeline development, and things mentioned yesterday by the CEO. I just can't understand the disconnect between the history of this stock and the pain given to MNKDs investors. What is causing this issue to unfold over and over..certainly the CEO has had time to find the answers.

The almost $6 per share price in Feb 2021 was in anticipation of positive FDA action on an early approval waiver for UTHR's application for Tyvaso DPI which the FDA declined to provide. Buy on the rumor and sell on the news.
I will decline to comment on the rest of your post.

Are you saying that every time MNKD announces good news, the stock is going to $6.00 on the news and then drops back to the $4.00 level? Is that a good investing criterion for a stock?

The pps was $3.07 less than six months ago and $1.03 less than three years ago. It may be better to consider the base movement more than the pop. The pop is more emotionally driven whereas the base is more fundamentally driven. It's wasn't long ago we'd be ecstatic to see this in the high $4s. Then again, if trading instead of investing, it's all about the pop

Still, it’s hard to believe that the price was over $5 a share just a few hours ago. And yes, I am an investor, not a trader.

Power hour. Jump or dive, but probably not flat.

Power hour. Jump or dive, but probably not flat. Jumped, but down .15 for the day. C'est la guerre.
