...Yutopia can be marketed by LQDA, but they're going to need to convince doctors and patients why they should take a superior product away from a patient that's happy, satisfied with the current delivery device and responding to the med... There is no way a doctor will move a patient off a satisfactory product. It's why UTHR spent all that money blocking LQDA, and why Afrezza struggles in the market today.

LQDA can sell Yutopia with a little hopia but, getting doctors to switch is going to be a huge hurdle, considering DPI is a superior product.

It doesn't need to be superior, it just needs to be good enough. It's what happened with Afrezza and RAA - Afrezza is superior, but RAA is good enough so there is no move to change.

Just listened to UTHR's presentation at J.P. Morgan conference.
Summary:
Tyvaso DPI - Low Flow Device:
- First and only DPI that delivers to distal lungs for PAH - No maximum label dose - Deep lung delivery - Room temperature delivery - Very high patient satisfaction - No cleaning required - 1 breath per cartridge
Yutrepia - High Flow Device:
- Chaotic airflow. Gets stuck in the throat. - Most of the drug does not get down to where it needs to go. - Requires 3.3 times more powder for similar Treprositinil exposure compared to Tyvaso DPI.
Someone please tell me how good of a sales rep you need to be to promote an inferior product like Yutrepia. At the end of the sales pitch, do you disclose the whole getting stuck in the throat thing?

Tyvaso DPI revenue stream to Mannkind is a given and most likely will grow despite whatever penetration Liquidia makes in the marketplace.
Liquidia will get market penetration based on undercutting via pricing not on efficacy.
United Therapeutics and its management team are world class and will prevail - in a BIG way.

It appears all you’ll have to do is mention the price savings, have a little extra cash in your pockets to line the doctors pockets or maybe some tickets to the best Broadway play in town or take some doctor out to $1000 meal.

Yep, it’s fair to speculate that LQDA will gain some traction and with the right pricing be able to penetrate the market to some extent. LQDA’s robust share price action reflects that possibility. But Tyvaso seems superior and we know Martine runs her company the right way and has a high likelihood of succeeding. So our 9% royalty should continue on an upward trajectory over the upcoming years. There is room for UTHR, LQDA and MNKD to all make some coin here.

$1000 meal ? I never had one of those ... can I go too ? But, that's mytakeonit It’s easy. Just go to a fancy steakhouse, get a couple of hundred dollar steak dinners and a couple of $400 bottles of wine. Enjoy!

Oh I thought it was $1000 for one meal. Or even $1000 for 2 meals. Heck, I recently hosted a lunch for 8 people without liquor ... well just 2 glasses of champagne ... and that cost a little over $800 including tip.
Maybe I go to Las Vegas too much and got use to being totally comped.
But, that's mytakeonit

Two meals: one steak dinner and expensive bottle of wine per person. Two people, $1000. I’ll treat you to that dinner at SW Steakhouse when I’m at the Wynn in a couple of months. Assuming our share price is $10 or more by then of course.
Better yet, let’s meet at Nobu where we don’t need $400 bottles to ring up a $1000 tab with just the two of us. And the food is better too!
MTOI and I together in Vegas, finally! 😍

Frustrating indeed. We have TechnoSphere. We have the superior product to LQDA’s one trick pony. It makes me wonder, is there a PC version of the old adage, “It’s the Indian, not the arrow”?

MTOI and I together in Vegas, finally! 😍 cretin ... I've been to pretty much every casino on the strip ... including the Wynn/Encore. I've pretty much settled in at the MGM Grand because I like the location, atmosphere, casino personnel, and the gambling is to my liking. I haven't been there for maybe 3 years because of Covid lurking and I also became tired of gambling. My main games were blackjack, craps, roulette ... and now it's primarily playing the slot machine (which is boring). I found that I could make the most $$$, points, and comps that way. I am totally comped every stay and had a 3 bedroom suite on my last trip. We even had a stretch limo pick us up at the airport and also available to us if we wanted to go any where. In any case, I don't plan on meeting up with anyone on Proboards because I want to stay invisible. Can you see me now? Ha!
