This is Thursday before a Monday EC. It's supposed to be the run-up time. Instead, its the Fall-down time. Who knows, maybe we will get some small run-up before 5:00 Monday. Of course, any run-ups may just trigger sell-offs because people have grown so weary waiting they just want out already.

I’m guessing somewhere near $50M and smaller loss (continuing the trend towards CFBE and profitablity). I haven’t sensed that Steven and Mike are doing any special cost cutting or other accounting to show profitability early and instead just being their natural conservative selves (along with the Board of Directors) and letting the business take a natural course business-as-usual. My “sense” and $15 will get you $15 worth of coffee at your favorite coffee house.

I feel that we need more efficient shorts ... my buy order at $3.50 is still sitting and waiting.
But, that's mytakeonit

hellodollyThanks for your informative and thoughtful reply. Nothing soothes the frustration of owning a big stake in MNKD better than a good whine and a sympathetic ear on the pro-boards barstool next to me. I’m not gonna trade anything until next Tues earliest, and in any case I’ll hang on to at least half my MNKD position. Hope springs eternal, and habits are also hard to break. My only reservation about UTHR is the LQDA uncertainty- but even if Liquidia hits the market I doubt it will be a game changer. I like the vision and courage of UTHR to follow big dreams and not have them be tied to another company. There are many other possibilities of course, but I believe outsized investments should be in companies where the story is well known and the risk is manageable. I’m in MNKD because I was naïve and refused to admit I was also wrong. Like you, I’m playing with discretionary cash. If it is a horserace between UTHR and MNKD over the next year, which horse will appreciate most? Place your bets and check back next November. GLTAL Chris C

MNKD has higher upside than UTHR, but also has a much higher probability to break a leg and be turned into glue.

Get this mnkd sp over 5 and I won't post anymore. I ll sell every shares and buy UTHR. Enough of this pain I have encountered for 15 years. This company is nothing more than a meal ticket for mediocre management team. They sure know how to screw up a simple wet dream.

The bizarre thing is that I can sympathize deeply with both viewpoints, optimistic and pessimistic. I do tend toward pessimistic w/r/t MNKD (see "Einstein's" definition of insanity...) but I also see the value of MNKD's work. At this point, though, it's really hard for me to see MNKD as more than a poster child for a "Great product, bad company" scenario.

At this point, though, it's really hard for me to see MNKD as more than a poster child for a "Great product, bad company" scenario. MNKD may indeed be the poster child for that. Are there other companies that exemplify “great product, bad company” more than MNKD? I’m trying to think of one.
