I wonder if 268.36M of the recently authorized shares are being earmarked for current shareholders to receive if/when MNKD spins out a separate company dedicated to Technosphere DPI development opportunities? That would be a more satisfying turn of events than unnecessary dilution.

Doubtful that would happen Mike acts like he saved the company by turning around afrezza. All he did in my opinion is cause massive dilution to support the ever expanding Sales force and failed ad campaigns. Afrezza should have been sold off when Sanofi bailed. The sales force is now draining all of the cash received from UTHR, and now he's trying to say being a biotech pharmaceutical company is where the money is not a royalties model. I guess this is to justify his Salesforce. He should be fired. I guess he plans on issuing a butt load of new shares to support the clofazimine salesforce.

I guess he plans on issuing a butt load of new shares to support the clofazimine salesforce. In the spirit of Halloween, that’s a truly frightening thought. And I agree there’s no spin-off in the works, though there could be some upside in such a move.

A ridiculous comment in my opinion.

Holy crap! Sellhighdrinklow lives! Good to see you post! I respect specultion about authorized shares since that is all we can do is speculate, and shares issued to a spin-off would be interesting, but I agree with cretin11 and assume it is unlikely. Issuing shares to raise capital to fund a salesforce to sell a Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria (NTM) product based on Clofazamine also seems unlikely (and clumsy).
Mike has previously reiterated that he’s interested in international marketing of Afrezza which I also assume means he’s open to marketing agreements generally. I assume he still wants to maintain control of Afrezza marketing for many reasons not the least of which is the huge scars leftover from the Sanofi perfidy that put Mike in the worst possible position of a newly minted CEO which is trying to save a dying company which he appears to have managed with help from Stephen Binder, and Martine Rothblatt (with a hat tip to Dr. David Kendall and the MannKind board and employees).
