I can recall numbers being released at 4:00 EST followed by the call at 5:00 EST. IMO this doesn't seem out of the ordinary.

Why all the "gnashing of the teeth"? Mannkind is a long-term play and has been since Sanofi backed out of marketing and selling Afrezza. Whether or not the 3rd quarter earnings rock or disappoint doesn't matter. The PPS is controlled by a number of significant players who make "bank" in both directions. Not until Mannkind has a meaningful drug that it owns completely (and profitable) other than Afrezza will the PPS reflect the fundamentals.
It would be refreshing if the soap opera would take a back seat to this being a board for sharing investment tactics and strategy. Nothing that we say or do about Mannkind's business plan will alter their focus.
That being said, I find Nate to be a strange bird and not very helpful in maintaining a balance view about investing in Mannkind. I am sure he is also befuddled, as the longs by the number of hiccups that management went through marketing Afrezza.
As for our beloved CEO, as we all know he has put his foot into his mouth a number of times and has knowingly thrown retail investors into a tailspin.
Alls good for the long run. However, for the next couple of years, I recommend putting on your seat belts for a bumpy ride - lots of turbulence coming our way.
Always prepared for pessimism for its the flip side of the coin for optimism. Looking forward to not only the 3rd quarter earnings report, and the hidden guidance for the 4th quarter.

But this waiting is going to outlive me. Waiting for the future payoff I was holding, holding, holding. Now I’m afraid that I will die before the stock price redeems me. We’ve been thinking this would play out by now, but now we have to wait another 2 + years. My patience has come to the end.

Profitability and important trial results are months away not years then pediatric approval and pipeline progress are not far behind. Pessimism looking back is understandable as it has been a pattern since before the CRL when I, like others, began following this stock on a daily basis. That said, I can't recall anything significant from Mannkind's past that will likely foreshadow or even be a useful hint at the path moving forward. Others disagree and for whatever reason continue bringing up the disappointing past which is understandable and fine. I too am disappointed it's taken so long but now I look forward to the call today and more importantly to profitability and progress in 2024. letitride said it best. GLTA

Agree MNKD has been a long term play since the Sanofi debacle, but that was many years ago now. It wasn't supposed to be this long term a play. Also agree we need a meaningful drug that is profitable, this was also supposed to have happened before now, and we aren't as close to being there as we should be. Agree furthermore on our ceo putting foot in mouth repeatedly (including recently promising 2023 will be "phenomenal" for shareholders) and knowingly throwing retail investors into a tailspin. I do not want to agree on the next two years being full of turbulence, but am not betting against you there. All of these points add up to gnashing of teeth, and i'd say it's warranted for the reasons boca1girl states.

I agree with everyone!
The turbulence I am referring to is the unknown headwinds that Mannkind faces. How many CRL's? How many resources both UTHR and MNKD depend on that have major disasters! I am not saying Mannkind is snake-bit, but I don't believe in coincidence or that "shit-happens"!
I am not a conspiracy theory type of person but considering that this sh*t keeps happening over and over again in order to slow Mannkind from becoming a going concern; means that the future is filled with minefields.
Other than that, the future is bright for those who can stomach the turbulence and have the wealth/means to survive the timeframe. Don't forget that neither Mike (CEO) or the marketplace cares about those seriously underwater in their investment.
Good luck to all....

Shouldn't this thread be closed or maybe replaced with optimism? Once we leave the $4s behind once and for all, hopefully tomorrow is that day! (I’m having deja vu)

So ... did everyone buy all the cheap shares they could But, that's mytakeonit I was waiting for it to get to 3.50 like u said ? For years MTOI has said “buy all the cheap shares you can” and old timers remember his previous mantra “$10 after next CC.” I hope one day the new mantra is “shares are fully valued now, too late if you didn’t get ‘em while they were cheap!”
