I'm on schedule to retire in March of 2026. I'd be pleasantly surprised if MNKD hits $20/Share by then.

I'd be really happy with over $10 by then... which would be pretty impressive return for less than 2 years. In fact it would be over 50% annualized return. Not trying to hype, but I think that is solidly within realm of the possible. End of 2026 I'd say double digits is probable.

2030 will be my earliest retirement date (52), anything above $30/share and I’ll be a happy man….i’m feeling pretty good about it right now!

I'm not dependent on MNKD or the other 120+ names in my very broad set of dividend portfolios. Biotechs is my gambling money and momma says no more than 100K am I allowed to risk. She's too conservative! She's a Debbie Downer.

When does it stop being "hopium" and become reasonable optimism? At some point "hopium" is insulting.

When does it stop being "hopium" and become reasonable optimism? At some point "hopium" is insulting. Great question. You even posted: "sayhey24 has said he still thinks MNKD can get over $100/sh. I agree with him, although I'm more comfortable assuming I can reasonably hope to see north of $50 in the next 5 years." So you appeared to draw the line where sayhey's $100 prediction is hopium, while you are "comfortable assuming I can reasonably hope to see north of $50 in the next 5 years." That's odd phrasing, not going out on a limb predicting $50, you are simply comfortable assuming you can hope to see it. Of course you can "hope" to see whatever price you want, as ktim said why not "hope" to see $920 or even more? After all, it's just hope. And hope is the basis of hopium. Hopium adds the element of being unwarranted or even irrational. You cautiously didn't outright predict $50 in 5 years, but you assume (correctly) you are allowed to hope for it. Other posts on this thread are more clearly hopium, yours is more in the gray area but i think it does qualify. MTOI's post is the classic example. How many years has MTOI confidently stated we'd see $10 by _____ (usually within a couple of months)? I will reverse your question and ask, "when does it stop being reasonable optimism and become hopium?" Probably in MTOI's case about five or six years ago. When will it stop being hopium and become reasonable? I think we all know the answer... Hopium 101 taught here, any questions or comments? It's an evolving field of study, we here at PB are just one of many classrooms.

I can't help being somewhat hypocritical when I say we're probably all better off the further we try to stay away from being insulting regardless of whether we feel justified or that we're being reasonable.

Alright letitride !!! I got into MNKD at $3 ... and I'm still feeling great. As in all predictions ... we always have to change it as situations change. Such is life in general.
But, that's mytakeonit
