Okay ... I stand corrected. So Mike C spends some of his earnings to buy MNKD stock. Sounds good to me !!!
Sounds like the same thing that I do ... but, I retired a long time ago.

Stock options are part of his overall compensation and the government wants their cut. The divorce and separation of assets should be all done. The only reason Mike would be selling is to cover the taxes. He’s not worried, he’s actually increasing his stake. His gamble of taking over as CEO of a failing company is going to make him a $100 millionaire by the time it’s done.
All in my humble opinion, of course.

There is never a good time for corporate officers to sell stock. ... This is true which is why Wall Street really doesn't care unless you dump an unbelievable quantity. People get worked up about this, but it's borderline irrelevant in almost all cases (those unbelievable quantities...) The insider trading rules make selling on internal information a high risk activity since these are tightly watched by regulators. If you are going to do insider trades you do it via someone as apparently unrelated to you as possible.

Yes aged. It takes a seriously insane amount of sales to get on the radar. Like Elon's TSLA sales to purchase Twitter. Ay ay ay.

I'm very pleased with Mike's stewardship and will be pleased to have him continue, and have me and him both materially benefit from his efforts.

Of course I differ with the first part of your post, but this isn’t the time/place to rehash that old chestnut. Thanks to the magic of years of covered calls (and DCA), I’ve come to a good place with Mike’s stewardship, such as it is. I have no problem with him unloading a significant chunk of shares, it’s gonna happen from time to time with almost every company’s execs.

You may be better at spotting executive talent than I am, so I have to cede your opinion. I’ve met and known a few CEOs and worked for a bunch of others. I am not uncomfortable with our opinions differing. Glad to hear your investment efforts are serving you well. Best of luck to you.

What's with all the selling of shares from executives at the same time? It doesn't look good.

Read the thread. Consensus is it never looks good but doesn’t mean bupkis unless it’s egregious. This isn’t anywhere close to egregious.

Why is that reminding me of a scene from Men in Black referring to cold dead hands? Remember, just Never Sell JDSU? Remember Nortel? Reminds me of an incident some years back.. I was debugging an issue with UDP packet drops affecting us. I went from our app all the way to the driver (linux!) and couldnt figure out the reason for the pkt drops. After segregating the network, finally found that we had an old Nortel switch in our network, which was the root cause. Couldnt do anything as the company itself didnt exist. Documented it, and just reset it until the switch got replaced. Good thing is I learned *a lot* about linux network driver implementation.
