Afrezza was launched last week (2/3) and the #'s are for last week. Didn't they officially launch on a Tuesday or Wednesday?

Has the 56 number been confirmed? If so, I'm actually quite pleased, I was hoping for anything over 50.

Numbers really mean nothing for about 60 or more days. This is a work in progress. Has the 56 number been confirmed? If so, I'm actually quite pleased, I was hoping for anything over 50.

Thank you all for the feedback and not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth, but merely understand the data. Exubera had many delays in the launch of Exubera and I thought they did not officially launch the product till 1/2007. They had originally planned for launch on 7/2006 but pushed out this date many times. The data in your chart (GOMNKD) show sales in 7/2006.
Would the sales data (2006) prior to the official launch of 1/2007 be like Exubera is available in some US cities but not yet a full roll out? I think that's the answer but do not have the historical knowledge like all you veterans...
Thanks,

Correction: there was a limited sales push in July: "Pfizer launched the product in July 2006 with a limited push to doctors who specialize in diabetes." <snip> "Exubera's problems continued. Although the drug was approved in January, it wasn't introduced fully until September because of manufacturing problems. " www.wsj.com/articles/SB119269071993163273

I had been hoping for comparison with Exubera, but the weird dragged out launch for Exubera makes that considerably less meaningful early on. Not really apples to apples to compare Afrezza launch with either the early exubera numbers or the numbers from exubera's full launch. Oh well. Here are later numbers people have posted for Exubera showing about where it plateaued before being taken off the market in Oct...
5/04/2007 = 1,664 Trx
5/11/2007 = 1,670 Trx
5/18/2007 = 1,659 Trx
5/25/2007 = 1,816 Trx
...
6/22/2007 = 1.883 Trx
6/29/2007 = 1.858 Trx

It looks like Exubera had
1) poor growth rate in NRx in spite of DTC ads 2) poor retention rate
I agree that comparison with Exubera doesn't make much sense. Only the die hard fans loved Exubera, the size just was a turn off. Do you think Afrezzauser or Eric would have recorded a video of using bong in a public place and posted it? The embarrassment is just too much.
Another issue: Pfizer never had a foothold in Diabetes area. The reps didn't have the contact like Sanofi/Novo. Pfizer also thought that the product will take off on its own (Viagra set the wrong precedent). It was just a bad drug , bad device in hands of an incompetent co deploying clueless reps.
I'll be dumping MNKD if 1) NRx growth rate is poor 2) Retention rate is < 80% 3) Fails to get 5% US market share by end of year 1
If the first 1000 pts have 10% enthusiasm of afrezzauser, then we have a reasonable chance of success.
