Options - signaling an end to the stalemate?

I noticed yesterday, and even more so today, the option activity is starting to pick up - especially calls - 2.5:1 call/put ration today so far. My thought is that this is anticipation of this sideways stuff coming to and end - to the upside?

Would seem to be in anticipation of it going up; but, as I've mentioned in the past, a shift in call/put ratio in favor of calls is often a contrary indicater.
