I appreciate this particular Japanese site because each patent includes a list of related patents and includes links to each (located near the end of each article). The format is also easier to read than many other patent sites I have found.
Example: www.google.co.jp/patents/US6428771
I am posting this site as a reference because, even though some of the patents, such as "Method of treating diabetes type 2 by administering ultrarapid acting insulin", www.google.co.jp/patents/US8623817 may be older (Aug 2009 in this case), the reading is sometimes fascinating. The explanation of the five phases of insulin secretion by Peter Richardson and of Afrezza's benefits is outstanding and easy to understand.

I have a feeling that I'll be spending weeks on this site. What a geek I'm turning out to be...good thing I have great sex appeal.

Those Mannkind patents seem to provide insight into what TECHNOSPHERE may be used for beyond the theoretical maybe.

I often wonder if i should spend my "Mannkind reading/obsessing time" looking for my next big investment idea?
Not instead of Mannkind, but in addition to.
But like Joey pots said, its a fascinating stock to own

If you want to read the whole thing in English replace the co.jp with .com example: www.google.co.jp/patents/US8785396www.google.com/patents/US8785396This one along is wow, and its for Method and composition for treating migraines, but also references as an example a phase 1 test for Technosphere and GPL-1": Example 8 Assessment of Glp-1 Activity in Postprandial Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of a GLP-1 dry powder formulation on postprandial glucose concentration and assess its safety including adverse events, GPL-1 activity, insulin response, and gastric emptying

I'll admit that I'm searching for the next Amphistar. For example, in the patent on migraine pain, it appears that even though there are many triptans (commonly used for migraine) MannKind chose to use Sumatriptan.
There are branded Sumatriptans, but generic Sumatriptan apparently is manufactured by only two companies, Sun Pharma(private) and DaBur Pharma (acquired by Fresenius in 2008).
I was curious to see if Amphistar manufactures triptans, since they also are known for producing difficult to manufacture generics...

I was also fascinated by one of the patent referrals linked to Biomed Inc., which described the combination a low PH fast-acting insulin that doesn't degrade a 24 hour basal, so both can be administered in a single injection (pre-breakfast), which then eliminates one mealtime injection (excuse me... I mean, inhalation) each day.

But like Joey pots said, its a fascinating stock to own I know I am spending more time with my other biotechs than I am with MNKD. I seems there's not much left to research and it has pretty much become a waiting game now.
