Anyone can start a ProBoard. "ProBoards" actually includes a number of different domains: proboards.com, freeforums.net, and I think there is another one or two...but they're all the identical platform hosted on the same servers.
One primary difference between this board and the freeforums board is that our board has always been "open" (anyone can view the posts, except within the "members only" sub-boards) whereas that other board has been closed to lurkers.

Many members here are on both boards, with mnkd.proboards.com seeing a better growth rate in the last fee months. Both have their different flavours with one more "Glass half full" and the other "Half Empty". Like them both. Lots of stuff get cross pollinated. OOG |
