This is why they sold lots of share in the last few months. Now that we know after them for the Soft Lunch and the Phases....they did forecast for low scripts at beginning... What else MNKD management know that we do not.... AI stated not profitable before 2 years...how much of a deficit will MNKD show in the next few quaters.... I am starting to believe they know...already....
Too bad sharehosders were adequately informed...and the silence of the MNKD management is intentional...
Just Frustrated but with reasons....

Just Frustrated but with reasons.... It's not possible for management to know a price trend before it happens. They can make projections all day long, but while they have a much better idea what costs might look like, they can have little more confidence in what sales will be 2 years from now than you or I. It's also not reasonable to expect managers to perpetually tie up large amounts of their net worth in a single company, even if it is the one they are running. If I were in management at MNKD, then regardless of where I thought the price might go, prudence indicates that some amount of divestment and diversification over time is needed.

At least we know what they mean by CONTROLLED LAUNCH this was the limited target (some endocrinologist) and the Phases : Phase 2 PCP (GP) and this is starting slowly since Toujeo is the main focus now. And Phase 3 sometime this fall....(Direct to patient publicity ). For the 12u dose and European Approval this is next year...We all know BO (if occurs) is in more than 2 years...and no price fix yet...and all TS application is far more than 2 years...
So I expect to share price to go down to $2,50 in the short term and then go back up slowly

Remember that Hakan still owns over a million shares and Matt hold over 350,000. Al also holds some. They are focused on making Afrezza a success. The share price will follow.
BTW you can be sure that management will not reveal anything they do not plan to discuss at the annual meeting regardless of how aggressive the questioning is. But for those who are expert in reading body language and other subtle clues there may be some important tells. No one has a bigger stake in MNKD and Afrezza than these three; Moe, Larry and Curley...oops, I mean Al, Hakan and Matt. If you can discern their real mood you may learn a lot. And you might get a tour of the plant, too.

Just Frustrated but with reasons.... You make it complex. Good luck with the inside job. Peter Pan Complex avoids responsibilities, people tell them they are childish and need to grow up, would rather live in their head than the real world, wants success to just happen to them, focuses on fantasies more than reality, believes they deserve to have whatever they want, life lacks direction, never know what to do next, does dumb things frequently, inconsistent performance, lazy, slacker, does the minimum to get by, does things without thinking, does not feel they have any reason to accomplish anything, tend to ignore or put off problems, believes fun is the most important thing in life, most people think they are crazy, forgets scheduled appointments, more past than future, gets attention through negative behavior.

Hope that Sanofi has good news on scripts of Afrezza on April 30th otherwise MNKD is going to $2.50! Look at today's traiding.... Sadly, I believe this to be true. A poster (i forget the name) at partnership time stated all events were most likely priced in and if it didn't run on partnership news there was nothing ahead to support the $10 price and it would probably fall to $4.50. Like Peterpan's post it was very unpopular but very accurate. Sanofi is clearly not prioritizing Afrezza as a new CEO is putting the focus on converting Lantus users to Toujeo to protect the $7B cash cow.

Sanofi can obviously promote both. They may create a new billion dollar cash cow while keeping/extending the existing inhouse one. Even if Afrezza squeezes Lantus, it is surely going to take market share from Sanofi's competitors, that should not be a bad thing. It is a matter of how to motivate and reward the reps that sell. Assuming same profit margin, taking into account of the profit split, the ratio maybe 1:1.5 in favor of Toujeo?

If the price were to drop that low, what obstacles would prevent MNKD to come in and break up the partnership and go at it with another investor or alone. Why doesn't MNKD hurry up with the new products that they stated in the last conference. Both MNKD and SNY these must know something, if it were a sinking ship one would have split a while ago. I'm thinking that they are trying to negotiate on a price that is fair and reasonable for the whole company. Otherwise, more products would have been developed sooner by MNKD.

Please, will a compassionate administrator lock this thread full of whining newbies (or at least move them to a soundproof pediatric corner where they can wail at their heart's content without disturbing others)?
And, for the record, I agree that it's ridiculous for anyone to suggest that management is to be blamed for a falling share price or that they somehow knew that the SP would fall and therefore sold shares ahead of the drop. Seriously?
I also find it curious that nothing has been said about the sham downgrade by GS.
