I have been unable to post on the Yahoo Message Board. Every time I try to post I get a fail message. I've tried from my phone, my iPad and my MacBook. It's been happening for the last 3 days. freemans68 posted the following: "YMB blocked lot of longs for posting they blocked Ellie which anytime he post Mannkind goes up. What is going on?" Is anyone else having this problem? I have also noticed articles from questionable sources popping up on Twitter proclaiming the Afrezza launch to be a flop. Call me paranoid but I really feel that something sinister is going on.

Their client has a lot of bugs. I find that function points come and go randomly. Sometimes I can post, sometimes not. Sometimes I can block users, see my old posts, search, up / down vote, sometimes not.
Look at it this way - if slobbermut (a sock puppet used by another poster) can post "bump" 50 times a day, ain't no way a poster like you is getting blocked.

Right, I doubt any human employee of Yahoo pays the slightest attention to who posts what. That board software seems to be designed to be 100% autonomous. A single person can render a board useless for years. That's what happened on the LVS board...

I was having problems over the last couple of months.. I think it is probably a browser issue more than anything else. I really don't think Yahoo has someone waiting to see each post that comes in. Or perhaps you have a link that yahoo doesn't like but not because of what your are posting.. if their is a . (instead of DOT) or a www.. or many reasons. for some reason I have problems going on sports or finance with yahoo... then I wait 15 minutes and things are ok. good luck..

I'm not going to belabor it but I have been unable to post even the most benign comments, including "testing." None of the posts were links. It's not Yahoo glitches that I'm concerned about. I read somewhere that if you get a certain number of ignores you can be banned from the board - may not be true, but I'm wondering if shorts are attacking frequent long posters. I haven't seen to many on the board this weekend. Tomorrow is another day I guess. Thanks for the responses.

Not that there arent some insightful posts, posters and threads on YMB, but wow do you have to shovel a bunch of poop to find it.

Call me paranoid but I really feel that something sinister is going on. Are you trying to post using your log in user name or an alias you created under that user name? If it's an alias, it won't work. But if you try using your user name, the one you created the account and the email is attached to, it should work. I am not sure if yahoo is trying to stop people from using aliases due to spamming problems or if it is just a glitch. Let us know. |

Facts...It's been almost a year since my last post on YMB...I can honestly say I don't feel I've missed a thing (any post of merit is usually conveyed via other posters that still visit it regularly here) why even bother with it jmho  |

I'm using the same, original name. I am not seeing many of the usual longs on the board even this morning. I know there are a lot of whackos on YMB but there are also some good trusted ones who are now not appearing. I go on the board because I am of the "know thine enemy" camp. Oh well.

I can still use thumbs up and down, but that's it.
Very frustrating.
