Just received my blood test results from my endocrinologist. THANKS AFREZZA for dropping my A1C from 7.6 to 6.5 and 8 hour fasting from 145 to 109. I'm ecstatic since I've only been on Afrezza for 75 days. I look forward to complimenting Afrezza with an improved diet which I'm confident will result in even lower numbers. Thanks for all the support!

Did he say, "Looks like Afrezza is the real deal and I am going to prescribe it to everyone?"

No, my A1C history has shown only slight dips (.3 being the max over the last 10 years). I keep good records! The last time I had an A1C of 6.5 was 2 years ago to the day. Since then it climbed from 6.8 to 7.0 to 7.6. My fasting numbers were 122, 130 and 145. Based on other patients and my glucometer readings, my endocrinologist already knows Afrezza is powerful. I won't discuss the blood work and test CGM until Monday's appointment. My Medtronic 5 day ipro CGM test kept me in range 76% of the time. The Medtronic rep. normally sees 20% on average. I'm sure he'll be very pleased.

Congrats NC, GREAT results, we now have another doctor with wide open eyes. isn't it a great feeling to know that you have stopped high blood sugar from destroying your body?

Make sure and send both MannKind and Sanofi Andrew Purcell a letter with your information and story to their office by certified Mail so you know they get it. Anybody with great results should do the same. We need to put heat on them to market the great results but they first need to hear it from users.

I agree. Share your great results with everyone. The social media aspect of this amazing new treatment cannot be underrated. It has certainly kept me dollar cost averaging into MNKD over the past year or so. Were it not for the personal stories, from people whose lives are being changed by Afrezza, many of us would not be here today. Before I started investing in MNKD, I watched the testimonies to the FDA about the success of clinical trials. One Doctor,in particular was so passionate and convincing in her word to the panel. She had paid her own way to be there, because she was so convinced of the efficacy of this drug. Once the initial DTC is over and Afrezza becomes the standard of treatment, we will all look back in amazement at "the road less traveled" we have taken. "And that has made all the difference!"

I think KC got a great idea here. I wonder if any of you have actually done that already?

baba -
75 days - read back in the post. I think you need some intranasal insulin!

Liane,
Take it easy on baba, he has been working long hours recently and is under a lot of stress caused by the California drought. The private Luxury golf course that he plays at, has been replacing grass with rocks and fancy dirt. If you want to play on grass, you have to hit the the straight down the middle.
