I'm looking for a few more devoted moderators who can keep an eye on the board from time to time (you don't have to live here). I'm hoping the board doesn't attract a lot of trouble makers; maybe just an occasional spammer that needs the boot. Let me know if you are interested via PM. Thanks!

And on the subject of spammers, it would seem that most spammers hitting ProBoards are actually "spam-bots" these days. There have been exceptions, but by-and-large the spam posts are self-evident and the mods will be quick to decontaminate the board. Just FYI, the board has a ban-by-IP feature, and most of the spam-bots originate in locales not likely to have too many individuals legitimately interested in MNKD-related DD... for example: Vietnam, Korea, China, Indionesia, etc. So, whenever spam-bots attack from an IP in one of those countries, I've just been banning all addresses with the same first octet (first byte of the 4-byte IP address). Hopefully there isn't too much of throwing the baby out with the bath water, with respect to those countries... |

That's good to hear. Chris will be a great moderator. Just for the records, Liane asked me to be a moderator and I declined. This board is in good hands and I prefer to just be a poster. Agoracom made me a President because I posted a lot, not because I have any credentials to be one. I still hope to be an active poster though, once I figure out how this site works.

Hello Liane/Chris, thank you both for your time and energy as moderators, as it takes quite a bit of time just to stay involved as a member let alone helping to manage... Question, is there a way to organize the threads by category? For example, Mannkind Topical as one segment, Off Topic, social and lastly administrative. I find myself going down a list that seems to randomly list threads with no specific category order. Just a thought... Do like the board very much... Thanks again for all of your hard work... I have learned a lot from everyone over the last several months...

Are you viewing the threads from the home page, or are you going down to the bottom and clicking either "Recent threads" or "Recent Posts". It sounds like you're doing the latter as the Home page is organized by category. Let me know if this answers your question.
